When you put something out consistently, for years, you start to build up serendipity. If you can just show up week after week it will grow and good things will happen.

At the start, you've got to just focus on putting stuff out into the world...
You will feel like you are shouting into a void, but if you can keep this up for two years you will start to see progress

If I lost everything and had to start from scratch, I would make a personal website under my name and I would do a lot of writing ✍

🚀 Everything important in life benefits from compound interest

I think when starting a YouTube channel it definitely takes a level of discipline.
You have to have the mindset of:
"Right, no one is watching my videos, but I know I have to do this."

My biggest regret in life is not taking more notes, when I was younger, from the books that I'd read. I used to read so much, and I still do, and now I take notes on the books that I read, and export my highlights, and write a little bit about what I've learned from this book.

A lot of good things happen in life because of serendipity–because of luck. You can't predict sitting on a train one day and meeting the person you end up marrying.

Your first 50 videos are going to be terrible, so you might as well get through those 50 videos as soon as you can.

Motivation is a myth.
The reason motivation is a myth is because we only need motivation to do the things that we don't want to do. And usually, those are things that require a short-term pain in order to get long-term gain.

Think about the game that you're playing.
What are the victory conditions of that game?

I have no interest in being famous to the general public, but I would love to be famous to people who care about tech and productivity👨🏻💻

You don't need to have an existing audience to make curation pieces.
You can build an audience through making curation pieces.

I remember making a list of all of the stuff I felt I was good at and then all of the stuff that I enjoyed.
From just putting those two things together I came up with my first successful business which then led to my YouTube channel 😁
