I really enjoyed the great questions from the group. Thanks to you all and the @beondeck team for having me.
I am so excited & honored to be joining On Deck for their inaugural Product Manager program. You know you're a product nerd when this is what you're looking forward to most about summer. #ODPM1 #BeOnDeck
Thank you @johncutlefish for an amazing session for the #ODPM1 cohort! Great insights on how to manage uncertainty as product teams. "Uncertainty is where the opportunity is" @Amplitude_HQ @beondeck
It's been a little over a week since my fellowship with the inaugural cohort of On Deck Product Management (ODPM) wrapped up. I found the ODPM program provided abundant structure and tools in navigating the ambiguity, uncertainty, and blurry boundaries that come with the PM role. Even more invaluable were the relationships I developed. I could lean on the experience, expertise, and empathy of a community and find opportunities to pay it forward.
I'm excited to share that ODPM launched their 2nd cohort 🎉 If you are looking for a tight knit community of talented Product Managers supporting each other, this is a great opportunity! You can apply before October 24, and feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to learn more.

If you want to take the next step in your Product Management career -- I can highly recommend @andrewcyu's ODPM fellowship at @beondeck
Great talks, great people, great knowledge sharing!
Just treated to an hour of @shreyas wisdom at ODPM2. I always knew he writes well, but watching him speak is also a masterclass in how to engage an audience, and provide value through answering the underlying questions and not just the surface ones 🙂
Thanks @andrewcyu!
Excited and honoured to start the next step of my learning journey as a product leader in the first cohort of On Deck Product Management, kicking off today #ODPM1 #ODPM #BeOnDeck

For that chance encounter at Lenny’s Slack, helping me out in that OD50 event months back, having me here at ODPM, and running an all-star fellowship with the rest of the OD team.

On our last official day of ODPM1, I want to give a huge shout out to @Andrew Yu, @Chioma Kalu and the entire ODPM team for making the fellowship a truly inspiring, energizing and valuable investment of time and dollars.
In particular, I want to recognize Andrew's ability to create an atmosphere of learning, collaboration and engagement that is unusual to say the least. He has a breadth of knowledge that goes well beyond the PM world, but inside that world, he's incredibly versed without ego. Thanks, Andrew and the entire crew for making ODPM1 great.
What an insanely great session with @shreyas to kickoff the Fireside chat sessions at the ODPM2 cohort. The amount of quality in his answers completely exceeded my already high expectations.
Can’t thank you enough @andrewcyu @beondeck for such a beginning 🙏
Excited to announce I'll be part of the upcoming On Deck #productmanagement cohort starting this week! Looking forward to learning and networking with the #Product and wider On Deck community around the world for the next year.
Shoutout to Andrew Yu, Chioma Ijere and Boydie Maraj for the great onboarding experience!

“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up someplace else” Yogi Berra (mentioned at the ODPM @beondeck goal setting session). Great quote to start the year. @andrewcyu
Super thrilled to announce I've been selected for the On Deck Product Management Fellowship, as part of their second cohort! 🙏 🥳 🚀
It’s an honour to be selected for this fellowship and I'm excited to be joining Fellows of #ODPM2
Joining On Deck Product Management Fellowship (2nd Cohort) #ODPM2 . So far, totally amazed by the diversity of the cohort. Hoping for a great learning experience.

@beondeck

Joining a fireside chat with the ODPM2 cohort tomorrow. Can’t wait to see what the @beondeck magic is all about✨
Thanks to @andrewcyu for having me & moderating🙏🏻
If you were a product leader in the fellowship, what questions about product/startups/leadership would you ask me?
I recently joined @beondeck as a fellow in the first cohort of the On Deck Product Management (ODPM) program. I wrote an article with 10 takeaways from my experience in the first 8 weeks there. here's a summary: #productmanagement #odpm1🧵👇
After 8 weeks, ODPM1 is officially a wrap! 🥰😍 ..but this is just the beginning of our continuous community of amazing @beondeck product fellows.
Thank you to all our amazing fellows and incredible speakers for making this an unforgettable experience

Hearing Shreyas Doshi answer in the OnDeck Product Management session - here’s what stuck (apart from his answers) ❤️
1. Pause, take a minute, think and then respond when there’s a new question
2. Speaking slowly, at the beginning of the answers specially.
3. Clarifying the intent of the question.

Have just joined the @beondeck community! I'll be part of ODPM3.
Product is the core of a business, and it's an area you can never completely master. You stop being good at it when you stop learning.
Excited to see what @andrewcyu has in plan and to join a great community!
Can finally share the exciting news. Recently got admitted to On Deck Product Management Cohort 3. Extremely impressed with the diversity, learning material and the guests! First week kicked off with a fireside chat with Ravi Mehta!
Thanks for making it happen Andrew Yu, Boydie Maraj, Chioma

Ready to develop my skills & connect with fellow PM´s to become a better one!
Thanks Alberto M., CEMEX and Andrew Yu for this opportunity.
Exited to start my #ondeck fellowship on #productmanagement.
See what can I learn next!
Great to be working with you Andrew Yu !
Looking forward to joining On Deck’s Product Management Fellowship this week! Excited to connect with the cohort and learn from Product leaders from across the world.
Special shoutout to Andrew Yu for organizing!
If you are considering applying to an On Deck fellowship, feel free to reach out :)
I joined On Deck's Product Cohort this past January. Here are 3 takeaways after month 1 of joining this community of Product Managers:
(1) Many other people are looking for community 👀
Everyone wants to meet IRL and wants to be part of a larger community. There is this collective longing to belong. There is a lot of energy in the (zoom) room. The best way to describe it is that it is like the first day of school every day because you are constantly in rooms meeting new people.
(2) The power of meeting people 💪
Since I began this journey, there are many startup ideas that have been flooding into my head (whether you want them to or not). It is like a graph network. You meet 1 person and that leads to 2-3 new things that you learn about.
The power of weak ties as they say. On Deck is based on that.
(3) I prefer peer mentorship over 1:1 coaching 💁♂️
Although I still find 1:1 coaching to be helpful, peer mentorship serves a different need more important need for me - diversity of thought and experiences. Having the community of 80 brains and experiences within the cohort plus the 100 people in the last cohort be able to respond to a question is invaluable.
------
I have spoken to many people about On Deck - people who have heard of On Deck, and people who have not and are simply looking for Product Communities to learn from and grow with.
Because there are so many questions around it, I wrote a more detailed write-up of the experience on my substack. The link is in the comments!
