great essay. really liked the hook title but also the rest of it
Love how straight forward you are here.
What do you want? Pay that cost. Use proactive > reactive language.
Thanks for sharing 🙏
That is a great discernment, Sean. Up to this moment, I viewed it a challenge (obstacle), which mentally made it so much harder.
Now I see that I need to “Empty Boat” my writing! It’s not doing anything intentionally “to me” ... unless I allow it to do so.
Insightful and very true. There's power in collaboration and carrying your team along. 'Don't toil alone'.
This is a great concept (and metaphor). Thanks for shipping it! 🚢
Nicely done! Good hook, easy to remember central idea, and provocative enough to be challenging. Made me pause and think about my life. I’d say that’s a win :)
This is great Sean! I think everyone should do a 2 year review and write their list!
This is a great essay Sean! It resonates for me to another aspect of getting what you want, which is evaluating the tradeoffs when these decisions come up. In many ways it's about that attention budget and where you decide to allocate your time and energy.
Wow. OK. So the price of what I want is discomfort. Your essay has made me 🤔. Thank you. 🚢
This spoke to me. Love the simplicity with which you've articulated something pretty complex.
"Fear of failure is laziness in disguise". I love that.
A battle I am currently in now when it comes to content creation.
Great read, looking forward to more 🚢
First off, my love language is the blinker. Second, I harp on this point with all of the business owners I work with that your employees are not mind readers. You conveyed this in such a brilliant essay!
I really, really feel this. This is exactly what it is to deny a dream for too long. But enough. Gloves off! I'm rooting for us! 💪
