Shifted to @RazorpayX Payroll & I must say that it's a productivity hack for all early-stage founders. Last month, we prepared & paid our team's salaries with just a click - something we had to do manually earlier!
Imagine doing that on a Sunday - the last day of the month!
‘Razorpay sees its valuation jump over seven-fold this year, raises $375m.’ It’s easy to look at this headline and lament the current capital and valuation environment - “There goes another crazy overvalued startup, when will this end?”
However, if you’ve ever used any product in the Razorpay ecosystem as a business, this headline won’t surprise you at all.
The fundraise news a couple of days ago reminded me that I needed to migrate my HR and payroll to RazorpayX Payroll, so I went for it. Within 12 hours, their team booked a demo session, answered all my questions, onboarded me AND approved my KYC. This process would have taken +/- 5 days anywhere else.
On top of that, the interface is so intuitive and automated that a seven year old could run payroll for a business every month in just minutes.
The time and administrative headache it saves for businesses vs what I've seen in my past experiences is comical. No bulky excel sheets, no deduction calculations, no manual compliance filings. Not only does this all enable you to run lighter, it also let’s your HR and operations functions focus on the strategic things that matter.
Just wish I had known about the whole ecosystem when I started off so I was already in it rather than switching to it.
If there are other similar offerings you guys use that boost efficiency by an order of magnitude I’d love to hear about them and see how we can implement.

One of the biggest enablers of Neo Banks in India would be better payroll software. Like @Razorpay Payroll.
Most companies offer salary account to new joiners, resulting in new bank accounts over a period.

Simple interface ensures that employees understand their earnings real-time & can optimize it on the go. Slack integration is a big plus, never seen reimbursement process so efficient.

RazorpayX Payroll takes care of everything payroll related for us. We can make employees and contractors payment from a single page with a few clicks. It automatically takes care of TDS, PT, ESI, PF payments and quarterly filings.
Has awesome APIs and a nifty QuickBooks integration. We don't need a CA anymore except for filing taxes.

As a founder of a 7 person company, keeping my overhead on time low is very important.
My CA used to compute payroll each month but I was making individual transfers from my bank account each month.
I was also then going to pay tds on the tds website since that also required bank account access!
Then came RazorpayX Payroll! It took this exact pain away!
It automated my payroll payments, tds payments and contractor payments, with one click! Love it!
XPayroll is definitely winning customer experience in the Indian product landscape and setting some serious goals for all of us. It's the little things!
