The CAWSTEM Match program provides an excellent platform for mentors like myself to contribute to the development of aspiring professionals in STEM fields. I had the privilege to be part of the first MATCH programme and what an amazing experience it was. During the programme, I got to learn from different mentors about interviews, CVs and how to position myself for opportunities. This was also an opportunity for me to think outside the box and to make a friend with whom we have shared many more career insights.
If you haven't already, you should apply to be part of this programme. It is a chance for you to do even greater in your career because you have someone with more experience holding your hand and being the bridge to the actuallization of your dreams.

I enjoyed being part of the CAWSTEM Community as a mentor. I was greatly impressed by the program's structure and content to support women in the STEM community. I loved the meaningful connections and friendships that came from the interactions and sessions with my mentees. The paring of mentors and mentees was relevant based on shared Tech field and interest. I look forward to learning as well as contributing to the program in the next cohorts.

The MATCH Program truly stood out, thanks to its ideal combination of enthusiastic participants, seasoned mentors, and a well-structured program curriculum. The mentees entered with determination, and by the end, they had a heightened sense of direction and a clear path forward. As a mentor, witnessing the thoughtful design of the program curriculum was immensely fulfilling. The synergy of interactive live sessions, personalized one-on-one mentorship, and engaging assignments culminated in a cohesive and impactful learning experience. The MATCH program was a really incredible one for me. I was in the product management track and my mentor, Adaobi, was very relatable and awesome.
I got to ask questions and share ideas freely and get useful feedback. The fact that she always gave an assignment ensured that I apply what I was learning immediately. She also fostered mutual respect and shared learning.
It was also great connecting with my co-mentee/buddy. We learned from one another's experience and I got another peek into Ghana, where she's from. We also started on a project together.
The general sessions were really helpful too, with tips on networking, job search, CV, personal branding, interview prep etc. To be in the same space with brilliant minds from diverse backgrounds and countries made for an overall enriching experience for me.
I am glad to gave been a part of this program. CAWSTEM really did well on this.
