Today, I had the incredible privilege of serving as Chairperson for the CPO Summit, hosted by People Alliance
It was humbling to be asked to help guide such an inspiring gathering of Chief People Officers, HR leaders and visionaries who are not just shaping the future of work, but actively building it every single day.
Together, we explored:
- Human-Centric AI Roadmaps
- Scaling with Soul
- Turning Skeptics into Champions
- Flattening organizations while unlocking performance
- Benefits that truly work in a hybrid world
- People Analytics powered by Agentic AI
The conversations were candid, the insights were bold, and the connections made will continue to spark change long after the summit.
I’m deeply grateful to the People Alliance team for the trust in asking me to serve as Chairperson, and to every speaker and participant who leaned in with honesty and energy.
Equally grateful to my team at Sanas where we live our values of Innovate or Die, Extreme Accountability, and Customer Obsessed every day. The work I get to do alongside such a talented, mission-driven group is what allows me to show up fully in spaces like this.

Just wrapped up an energizing session where I had the honor of moderating a roundtable on preventing burnout with an incredible group of women in HR! 💡✨
To top it off, I accidentally bumped into my close friend Ohad Biron who was showcasing his exciting new startup Bagel AI !
What a day filled with inspiration, ideas, and connections.
Thank you People Alliance for inviting me !
Sometimes life takes enterprising turns, don’t you agree?

I had the chance to attend the People Operations Summit hosted by People Alliance yesterday, and I’m still reflecting on the conversations I had the opportunity to listen to.
As could be expected, there was plenty of discussion around data-driven decision-making and AI in people operations. What really stood out to me, though, was when psychological safety came up, a subject I think is especially relevant today.
Some highlights:
David Lee emphasized the importance of "real talk" when discussing AI, not only to improve adoption but also to strengthen psychological safety.
Nick Kalave and Annie Bauccio shared complementary perspectives on well-being in a hybrid workplace, touching on parental/fertility benefits, the risk of social collaboration decay in remote settings, and the importance of flexible work schedules.
Matthew Larsen delivered one of the most earnest talks I’ve heard, reframing people operations as a true partner in listening, translating, and meeting employee needs.
These conversations, among others, continue to resonate with me as they highlight both the importance of the field and the many ways to support the workforce in the changing environments people are navigating.
I loved sharing my thoughts, experiences and stories as a panelist along with Teresa Chapman, MDR, PHR on “How modern orgs are flattening and unlocking performance” skillfully modertaed by Saralynn Malott, MS.
Sustainable Conservation’s flatter structure and inclusive people first approach creates a truly unique organizational culture that I was fortunate to share with fellow people leaders today!
Thank you People Alliance for bringing this event to SF and giving me an opportunity to share my insights on this topic. Aisha Lawlor, thank you for planning a variety of informative sessions for us!

The Chief People Officer Summit in Silicon Valley, hosted by People Alliance, offered more than expected. Alongside C-suite people leaders, the event brought together product, founder, and customer leaders through parallel Chief Product Officer and Chief Customer Officer Summits—creating a truly cross-functional dialogue.
The People Alliance team cultivated a warm, thoughtful environment, and the panels on AI, compassion, product strategy, and operational excellence were rich with insight. The industry trends and lived experiences shared throughout the day added meaningful perspective.
Grateful to all the speakers, companies, executives, attendees, and the incredible People Alliance team for making the gathering so impactful.

Thank you to People Alliance and specifically Ammaara Master for inviting me as Keynote Speaker to the Chief People Officer Summit, where I got to represent Inszone Insurance Services and talk about practical ways that HR can help change company cultures.
Pardon my old man grumbling, but after over twenty years in HR, technology and AI have changed, but people have not.
It is not difficult to create a great culture, but it requires actual self awareness from company leadership as to where you are currently at. If leadership is on board, I always recommend 5 free fixes to fix or improve a culture.
1. All company quarterly meetings
2. Succession Planning
3. Weekly team meetings
4. Management Workshops
5. Social Media Employee Recognition and Company Branding
None of this is difficult or expensive, it simply requires intent and effort. All of which one person must champion. Is it going to be you?

It was exciting to participate in the first in-person Chief People Officer Summit sponsored by the hashtag#PeopleAlliance. Special thanks to my insightful co-panelists, mawulom nenonene and Naomi Chavez Peters. Our topic, “Strategic Implementation of AI to Enhance Productivity and Revenue,” sparked a vibrant dialogue on the opportunities and challenges presented by hashtag#AI in the future of workforce development.

Made some awesome new friends today at the People Alliance Chief People Officer Summit!! Jeff Jacobs, Liz Quinn, Sandra Pham, mawulom nenonene and all of the incredible speakers and attendees - you all reminded me today why I love HR!! hashtag#peoplealliance

Recently, I had the privilege of sharing my point of view on 'Risk management in People Management' with the esteemed community of Silicon Valley People leaders at the Chief People Officer Summit.
The session delved into various risks; from Talent Risk to Data Privacy Risk, from Global compliance Risk to Succession Risk, and highlighted proven IRL strategies for effective risk management in each area. Through discussions on domestic and global case studies, the focus was on collective learning and actionable insights that organizations can implement to strengthen their risk posture while promoting fairness and consistency for their employees.
