I think that so much of this is or has been pulled from or derived from Catalyst that it's time to address some things.

A massive leap forward. My only concern is the potential for bad actors to manipulate the process. I fully understand the reluctance to enforce ID Verification at this stage. Is it possible for a governance action to require DID for CC and DReps ?

But really everyone this is absolutely monumental! This is one of the most important things that will happen to Cardano. This is world changing technology.
Possibly the biggest contribution to the greater crypto space we’ll see come out of this weekend. Anybody know if this was a collaboration across organizations or is it solely developed by IOG and University of Edinburgh, i.e., what are the potential biases?
1/ a couple of issues
1) apparently most of the P Q R have not had specific values proposed or a process to derive the values.
2) AVST ? this needs more refinement. There needs to be different threshold values for different Levels within each Governance action type.

3/ 5) SSID built into the main protocol, where ZK-SNARK is used to verify credentials will ensure decentralization is achieved and privacy (protection against coercion) is achieved.
6) The constitution as a doc is a very old school, enact some smartcontracts for values on Day1
2/ 3) each GAT and Level has to have a different process and timelines, thresholds for voting achieving the "liveness" aspects spoken of in Aggelos voting paper.
4) no Identity is a sore point, this means as spoken in #IOScotFest there is no certainty to centralization of power.

Thank for this. Loved the presentation. Looking forward to integrating Handshake and Cardano. Cardano close to realizing the sovereign network nation. Handshake (.cardano, etc) delivered a critical piece of the decentral puzzle, DNS top level domain sovereignty and governance. 🤝
They can do what they want. With Voltaire Cardano is now a self-sustaining system.

The presentation was amazing! So excited for peer to peer! Combined with Voltaire and Mithril Cardano is setting up to be the most secure and Decentralized Blockchain ever! I can't think of any chain who is this well thought out! Cardano really is a masterpiece
My only problem with this Voltaire governance is that the top 100 wallets in cardano control over 50 percent of the ADA? I don't see how this isn't a issue. This the elephant in the room. Prove me wrong, I would love to hear your explanation of this. It can't be ignored
Not only ADA is well distributed. Cardano has Project Catalyst (decentralized Grants with 1B ADA treasury) and Age of Voltaire is coming, Cardano will have a Constitution and the community will run the blockchain.
Cool - it’s a good base … now to start the collaborating with other projects - and getting more young people involved - especially as the Cardano “MBO” fires up! It’s going to be there world ;-)
