If you haven't seen what @coda_hq can do, check out this thread!

If you even remotely enjoy Notion, Airtable, or Google Docs, get ready for 🤯

Warning - you may need a fresh pair of 🩲 afterwards

Notion is like a step or two past taking notes and organizing data with lookups and formulas. Coda is leaps and bounds past it in every single way

Coda @coda_hq. That’s the real definition of Notion with speed.

Everyone: NOTION API IS FINALLY COMING SOON!!

Me: Have you tried @coda_hq?

A lot of the features that I _wish_ notion had @coda_hq has!!

âś…Conditional formatting (or just general table formatting in general??)
âś… Display pages as headers
âś… Automations
âś… Statistics / Analytics
âś… Hidden sections
âś… More advanced scripting / formulas

Coda > Notion

Don't @ me

Looking for a @NotionHQ alternative?
The guys at @coda_hq are at it.
An apparent difference, information architecture wise, is their approached for how you build/structure data - Less of a sandbox - more object oriented.
A UX change that might help users feel more in control 🏇

Love @coda_hq docs for our frameworks and SOPs 🙌. So much better and powerful than @NotionHQ .

Have you ever tried Coda (@coda_hq)? If you enjoy Notion you’ll fall in love with Coda.

Do it! Totally do it, Jordan. I tried #NoCode apps Coda, Notion & Airtable & I gotta say CODA is EVERYTHING! I'm having a total love jones! It's MS Office++ on steroids! The design, architecture & usability are elegant & exponentially superior. Cut'em off and don't look back!

Love the power and innovation @coda_hq! I’m building my next project and company with this after taking a pass on Quip, Notion, et al. Still need Gsuite for mail though... any recommendations for replacements WITH equal spam defense? coda.io/welcome

I find that Coda @coda_hq has more powerful query than Notion @NotionHQ.
e.g. sum a column, lookup, most formulas in Excel

Recommend it to all SQL nerds.

Dude, if you haven’t gone full Coda yet, you’re missing out. We’ve replaced docs, forms, spreadsheets, drive, and this week officially replaced Asana!

I agree with that statement but the programmability, speed, and integrations of @coda_hq give it the win in my head. Not to mention their product release cadence is way higher than @NotionHQ.

Really? I find the coda UI much cleaner. Notion feels a little home made to me.

That being said would love to have columns in @coda_hq

Coming from @NotionHQ and @clickup I am used to be restricted in what I could build with formulas and automation (not even a thing in Notion).

Now my options are limitless...thanks for unleashing my superpowers @coda_hq I finally feel that I am back in my genius zoneđź’Ş

These numbers & story are 🤯🤯🤯

After moving to @coda_hq, Squared Away saved $100k a year & over 1000 hours of labor. The business runs on Coda.

Such a great story + you get all the templates so anyone can copy what we did at @gosquaredaway coda.io/@michelle-penc…

Mira que era fan de notion, pero @coda_hq tiene todo lo que tiene notion + airtable

Oh, and @coda_hq for a few of the more data-hungry or app-like tasks that Notion struggles to handle (e.g. time management, finances).

Pretty impressed by @coda_hq app. Tried @NotionHQ and somehow, it didn't stick (for me.) I use Google Sheets, @Dropbox Paper and @WorkFlowy heavily. Need to figure out where this one fits in my portfolio of apps. But seems quite like it would.

Having pages in docs (equivalent to a Notion workspace), multiple docs in a project, multiple projects in a workspace, and multiple workspaces in a single account provides so much more flexibility...

Wow, amazing! I've been trying to move everything from notion to coda for @LowCodeAgency. This thread is great.
Btw, how did you create those gifs??

Y’all....if you like productivity tools and haven’t tried @coda_hq yet, stop and do so right now!

I finally figured out a decently complex button formula this morning and literally jumped for joy from both awe and celebration of how fun and powerful this tool is. 🎉🤯🚀

coda > everything else

I was building it in Notion, but without an API or any sort of automation, it was just too cumbersome for people to really adopt it.

Turns out Coda does LITERALLY EVERYTHING I was dreaming Notion might do one day plus a bunch of stuff I hadn't even thought of...

Being too tight to pay for something like QuickBooks I'm tracking my invoices with @coda_hq and using a button to trigger a Cloud Function with their API to generate PDFs.
Such a powerful tool for DIY solutions.

Ofcourse! And have transitioned all in my team to use! And no one questioned! The time to learn it is practically zero!

It can take some experimentation and practice, but Coda is head and shoulders above Google Docs & Sheets. Highly recommend perusing the template library and trying to figure out how they work.
