Wow. I've never read an article that spoke so directly to me. I've always been told to "pick a lane" or "pick a niche" or "you need to specialize" and that never felt right to me.
Thank you for posting your ideas on Polymaths @daretorant

Gosh this was so encouraging Salman.
I think authenticity is something I struggle with because I feel like it should be totally comfortable, but you’re right... It’s everything
The good, the bad, and the worry.
This paragraph nearly made me fall out of my seat it was so good

The Quick Brown Fox by @daretorant.
It’s a newsletter about curiosity, creativity and embracing a polymath lifestyle and the teachings in here are absolutely priceless.

Just read @daretorant’s latest essay on procrastination and all I can say is wow.
The imagery he’s able to make with words is crazy (I honestly wish I had better vocabulary to describe it).

Salman, this shakes my bones (by which I mean it resonates with me a lot 🤡). I've always called myself a novophile, since I'm completely obsessed with trying new stuff to expand my toolbox. Especially in music and tech. I love the polymath life ♥

Your newsletter reminds me of Austin Kleon’s work. A good mix of art, play and work. 👏🏼
This isn't just another newsletter. It's a playground for adults. I talked with @daretorant for more than 2 hours yesterday for an upcoming episode of the podcast, and it felt like 5 minutes. The guy seriously knows how to not take himself so seriously.
Highly recommended.
This is such a heartwarming, encouraging message. Seriously, thank you for this.
Loved reading this 🤙🏾

It's writing like this that makes reading @daretorant 's pieces completely worth your time.

This beautiful read from @daretorant on procrastination 🤩

I quite enjoy this email list from @daretorant.
What’s it about?
A lot of different things.
Creativity, peace, procrastination, some art, and short stories.
Salman is a true polymath and it’s fun to hear his stories every time.
I love this from @daretorant's latest newsletter:
Give yourself permission…
To write words no one will read,
To draw pictures no one will see,
To make things no one will touch
Creativity has many goals. Consumption is only one of them.
The relaunching of my creativity newsletter on substack was greatly inspired by @daretorant 's Quick Brown Fox.
My dream is that if our newsletters were books you'd find them close to each other or on the same shelf in a bookstore.
Thanks, Salman for the boost.
If you love good writing on creativity or learning about the art of visual content, @daretorant is a must follow.
He was kind enough to answer some questions about his process, the tools he uses, and advice for getting started (plus more).
Inspiring🔥

Great write up by @daretorant on prioritizing friends over followers
Salman, I read some of your stuff directly on your websites and its refreshing and high quality!
For me personally, newsletter are super overwhelming (unless if super specialized). I find it really hard to keep up. So, I end up not reading any of them.
“An idea lives to be shared, yet it does not die when we share it. Like fruit, an idea scatters its seeds in the garden of our collective minds. It lives on, enriching the soil and multiplying into the fruits of tomorrow’s ideas.”
Thank you for inspiring me @daretorant 👏

The cost of independence is that I *have* to choose what to work on."

As a freelancer, this resonated deeply.
Beautiful piece from @daretorant: "When you empower yourself, you disarm the status police. Find a way to instill belief in yourself at the root of your being."
