Even if you’re already experienced with dashboards and data visualization, you’ll still gain a lot from Aurélien’s training. He explains the details in a way that’s both easy to follow and genuinely insightful. Like many others before me, I’m excited to dive back into my dashboards and start applying the Pre-attentive and Gestalt principles we explored in depth. The design process module was one of my favorites! One key takeaway that stuck with me: The starting point of a product should never be a KPI. Thank you for putting this together Aurélien!

I recently took the Design Driven Data Visualisation Course from Aurelien Vautier, it was an eye-opening course that lays why dashboard design so often fails and the course discussed and taught how to overcome this with clearly described and explained theory allied with excellent practical examples to embed the concepts.
I have very much enjoyed training so far, I have found the videos to be crisp and clear in explaining the various concepts with excellent examples to demonstrate each of them so far. I found the Pre-Attentive attributes and Gestalt principles model very very well explained and useful to me.
I would highly recommend this course if you want to vastly improve the value of dashboards you may build in literally any tool, the design concepts stand above any particular tool making the course very useful indeed.

As a Power BI instructor, I find that Auréliens is a perfect inspiration to add on to the instructions, that students get from a book on how to learn and use Power BI. I have not yet seen a Power BI book, that put any significant efforts in teaching students about the design and development of reports and dashboards. In many ways, I find this course to be the missing link

Aurelien's approach and his frameworks for design-driven data visualization are purpose-driven and user-centered, which is very effective when dealing with many users with different needs. The course lays the groundwork for what everyone should consider when defining a data visualization environment. It also helps clarify aspects that we sometimes consider natural even when they are not as well as provides insights for deepening one's dataviz journey.

This was a very interesting course, providing key information about the optimal way to lay out a dashboard. It has provided valuable insights into what works and what doesn't. Based on the knowledge gained from the course, I can critique dashboards to identify improvements and incorporate the techniques into my own dashboards that I create. The methods learnt will certainly help my work to stand out amongst a plethora of substandard dashboards created by others who have not nailed these core principles.
