As a product analyst, my purpose is to attend meetings where a PM shows me a customer journey flowchart and I just point at each box and say "do you have a tracking event for that?" until I'm đź’€

Have stuck w/ Mixpanel the longest but I hate building reports and never feel like I'm setting it up correctly.

As much as I hate MixPanel as a company and their pricing, their product is simple and solid. Using @PeriscopeData at the moment and hate the product, @Amplitude_HQ sales didn’t engage well, @LookerData pricing and arrogance turned us off. Could good old GA do the job?

In addition to what others are saying, many metrics are incorrectly calculate by vendors. For instance in my world, “forecast percentage accuracy” is almost always incorrectly calculated by SaaS tools

I hate mixpanel.

Many reasons. We use it at Duolingo and it a) takes too long to load, b) frequently breaks, c) automatically changes parameters, etc

Folks who use SQL or Python for data analysis, why do / don't you use point-and-click product analytics tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, Pendo, etc?

I observed a clear divide here between technical and non-technical folks in my career so far.
