100%. My content quality is basically directly correlated with how much time I spend on the brief. @contentharmony by @KaneJamison is the best for this.

Want to classify search intent at scale? @kanejamison at @contentharmony has a tool in beta: contentharmony.com/blog/classifyi… #MozCon
Coming onto your LinkedIn feed just to tell you how much I like Content Harmony.
It's billed as a briefing software (and it has great brief features, templates, and all that jazz) but I don't use it for briefs (with a handful of exceptions, my clients all give me excellent briefs so I don't need it.)
But it's SO good at
a) quickly pulling together high-quality sources (think, academic papers, high-end publications) for me to use to find stats
b) pointing out things I forgot to add to my outline - especially good for SEO content
c) surfacing relevant rants on Reddit, Quora, et al to inform questions I should address.
I love using @contentharmony. @KaneJamison just had a baby I think, but their tool is awesome.

Only sorry that Kane's beating us to putting this in product -- There's A Better Way To Classify Search Intent contentharmony.com/blog/classifyi… via @contentharmony
This is really, really interesting. The 'new' classifications are great, but the scoring takes it to a new level.
Gonna give this a go myself, but if @KaneJamison and @contentharmony can systemise it, then I'm buying it.

I've tried many tools for creating content briefs, and Content Harmony is easily my favorite. It's easy to use and organize briefs. I can get a lot of useful information in the brief quickly without a lot of superfluous stuff. The tool makes excellent suggestions for outlining and formatting an article. I like that I can buy credits and they stay in my account for at least 90 days too.
