Thanks to everyone for their contributions and making this event happen, especially Beth Walker and Rob Alley. I joined #PMA earlier this year and it's been a great resource and community. -
About two weeks ago, I attended my first solo conference, the Product Marketing Summit, hosted by the Product Marketing Alliance in Seattle.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the summit was the connections I made. Networking with product marketers and exchanging ideas was incredibly enriching. The conversations I had exceeded my expectations and provided new perspectives and opportunities.
Thank you to all the amazing speakers, attendees, and new connections for making this summit such a memorable experience. Here’s to continuous learning and growth! 🚀 -
🌟 Thrilled to share that I had an amazing time attending the Product Marketing Alliance Seattle Summit! 🌟
It was an incredible opportunity to learn from some of the best professionals in the industry and gain insights that will undoubtedly enhance my role. The sessions were packed with valuable information, innovative strategies, and real-world experiences that left me feeling inspired and ready to implement new ideas.
Moreover, I had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with many talented peers who share the same passion for product marketing. It's always refreshing to exchange thoughts and experiences with like-minded professionals and build new relationships.
A big thank you to the organizers and speakers for putting together such an impactful event. Looking forward to staying connected with my new network and applying all the knowledge I've gained! -
What an incredible few days at the Product Marketing Alliance Summit in Seattle! This premier event truly delivered on its promise of helping product marketers level up their skills and stay ahead of the curve.
As someone curious about the field, I greatly enjoyed the insightful sessions and opportunities to connect with great professionals. The hashtag#AI track was particularly fascinating, with Abhishek Ratna's practical guidance and
Lara Shackelford's strategic overview left me inspired by the vast potential of this transformative technology.
Beyond AI, I found immense value in the tactical sessions as well. Sanjay Kidambi's masterclass on product naming was an eye-opener, while Stuart Pitts reminded us of the universal power of hashtag#storytelling to captivate audiences. As marketers, clearly articulating value propositions is paramount.
However, perhaps what resonated most were the empowering hashtag#leadership sessions. Jamie Gier, Sahil Sethi, and Angela Byers drove home the importance of self-awareness, authenticity, and continuous growth – qualities that will serve us well as we navigate the ever-evolving corporate landscape and our own careers.
I left the summit feeling energized, my mind brimming with fresh ideas to implement. To my fellow attendees and the entire product marketing community: let's keep learning, keep innovating, and keep raising the bar together. The future is bright!
And above all, we had some fun and have been crowned to the one and only PMA summit champion of hashtag#rockpapersciccors. Thanks, Rob Alley, for some fun and eternal bragging rights! -
An energizing experience and good knowledge sharing at the Product Marketing Alliance Summit in Seattle this week. I also got to connect with some local colleagues I hadn't seen in a while like Scott Shapiro, Sahil Sethi, and Bryan Nairn, CISSP who all shared interesting insights on stage.
I came away with validation that some product marketing challenges are systemic, but with new ideas and tools to innovate and move forward. 📈 -
t’s always a joy to gather the team for collaborative learning and development - especially when you get to host in the city you call home!
We attended the Product Marketing Alliance Summit in Seattle this past week and soaked up the insights, strategies, and lessons learned by other product marketers. I’d call it a success given our new ideas and renewed energy, and the fact that at least four of my teammates now want to move to Seattle. 🙃 -
What happens when you bring a group of product marketers together for three days to ideate, strategize, and learn?
You get....
⚡ Brilliant suggestions to take ideas from concept to application.
☕ An excuse to try out a new Seattle coffee shop each morning.
💡 Quick ideation about how to deepen and measure impact.
😆 Nonstop laughter on a wobbly boat on Lake Union.
💗 Relentless obsession with people-centered stories.
💜 Discovery that there is a Purple Store for purple people?!
☁️ Tireless curiosity to get to the heart of customer truths.
🚗 Finding out what's in our car trunks (tells you a lot, TBH).
🤖 Digging into how we can use AI for research, content, and products.
Last week was just as much a journey to get to the heart of our team's truth. I left better understanding each other and how we can hone our craft. I came hone energized and excited to apply insights, tactics, and ways of thinking into my work as a product marketer, chief storyteller, and (a term we all loved), chief customer officer.
Thank you to the Product Marketing Alliance, a community of which I'm privileged to be an ambassador for, for putting on a stellar Product Marketing Summit in Seattle. 👏👏 -
Last week I was lucky to attend the Product Marketing Alliance Seattle Summit, and learn from some incredible minds in our field!
Here are a few of my takeaways:
💡(AI) prompting is the one skill we must learn well to be competitive in the next phase of product marketing. The jobs of the future will be filled by those who can work with AI using language AND creative thinking.
💡Emotions run high in B2B buying… because risks are greater. Compared to ‘rational’ messaging, emotional messaging has a much higher chance of appealing to the 95% of your audience that is out-of-market. Great stories evoke emotions in others.
💡Our first job as product marketers is to act as Chief Customer Officers. The pursuit of the customer ‘truth’ should always be top of mind.
💡Building relationships with other product marketers is invaluable. What can I say, they’re pretty cool people 😉
A BIG thanks to the organizers and speakers for putting together such a great event. Excited to keep in touch with my new network put my learning into practice!
