Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a vibrant gathering of entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds. Some people whom I knew, some I didn't. This was organized by GrowthSchool. One thing was common- we all had taken up a course from GrowthSchool.
We sat around a table and introduced ourselves.
Sharing our journeys, from different industries and backgrounds.
Listening to everyone's unique expertise was both inspiring and eye-opening. I sat there in awe listening to things they do.
The common thread? A desire to grow, collaborate, and support one another.
Offering and receiving insights reminded us all that a strong community thrives on shared resources and collective strength.
It was a day of meaningful conversations, genuine connections, and the warmth of collaboration. And yes, great food made it even better!
This experience was about the beauty of networkingโnot just for professional growth, but for learning from one another and finding new ways to give back to the community. What starts as a casual conversation around a table can often snowball into something bigger than we ever imagined.
I always believed in one thing -"A single conversation, a single hello, a single email or a message can lead to a breakthrough or a lifelong connection."
Thank you GrowthSchool for this networking event and the brunch.

As an event host, should you be funny and cracking jokes?
This was the question I asked myself.
Recently, I hosted an event, and as I stood in front of the audience, I realized how much responsibility lies with the host to set the vibe of the room.
The energy, the mood, the level of interactionโit all stems from how the host creates the atmosphere. โจ
I began to reflect on what kind of host I am. Am I the serious and professional type? Or the light-hearted and approachable kind? After some introspection, I discovered that my natural inclination is to crack a few jokes ๐ and make the people in front of me feel comfortable. ๐
But thereโs more to it than just humor. Being funny isnโt the only way to connect. Itโs about reading the room, understanding what your audience needs, and adapting your style accordingly.
For me, itโs an ongoing journey of learning how to make people feel at ease and encourage them to open up. Hosting an event is not just about delivering a message; itโs about creating a space where everyone feels included and engaged. ๐
So, if youโre ever hosting an event, ask yourself:
What vibe do you want to create?
How can you make your audience feel comfortable?
What kind of host do you want to be?
For me, the answer lies somewhere between humor and connection. What about you?
Thank you GrowthSchool for hosting such events.

earning, Networking, and Scaling Together
E-commerce is not just about selling; itโs about building, scaling, and sustaining a brand in an ever-evolving market. My journey with GrowthSchool has been an incredible deep dive into the nuances of e-commerce businesses. The structured masterclasses and real-life examples have been transformational.
But the real magic lies beyond the classroom โ in the brunch meetings and networking events. These informal yet impactful gatherings have brought together founders from diverse industries, each with inspiring stories and invaluable lessons.
๐
On December 1st, I had the privilege of meeting the visionary founders of Coffea Foods, Ankit Jain and Rashmeet Singh. Their journey of taking Coffea from a bootstrapped dream to a brand with 35 cafes across 12 states in under a year is a true testament to the power of perseverance, innovation, and strategic scaling.
From conversations about profitability in a competitive market to their vision of redefining coffee culture in India, the session was packed with insights that resonate with any entrepreneur.
Key Takeaways from these interactions:
The importance of building a brand that connects emotionally with its audience.
Strategies to scale sustainably while staying true to your values.
Networking is not just about meeting people; it's about learning from their journeys.
Grateful to GrowthSchool for curating such experiences and to the founders who openly shared their wisdom.
If youโre building a brand or scaling one, Iโd highly recommend exploring these sessions. Letโs keep growing together!

Good that as a group we are going to different event...and it will help when we come together and share ideas.
Like GS gave us the opportunity to meet and network. If we can create good biz...together...it will benefit the whole group... Times arer exciting.
Woody Allen said, "80% of success is just showing up."
That's exactly what a bunch of us did this past Sunday to meet up for brunch, organized by GrowthSchool. I met with a group of people, with a wide range of experience, who were earnest and who shared my eagerness to connect, learn and get inspired from each other. I had a great time!
My motivation for attending this event was to connect particularly with the younger crowd who are venturing into new business models made possible by the new disruptive technologies, most notably GenAI! I met with people doing growth hacking, performance marketing, social media management, meta ads, AI based apps, etc, to name a few. Some of these paths were an eye opener for me, having started out of my career journey before any of these careers were conceived, let alone mainstream (I don't care if this betrays my age! :))
When I got a chance to speak, I decided to be vulnerable and said that I am in the process of reinventing myself and adapting to this new world, in which several of the attendees are making their mark. I said that staying relevant (i.e., marketable) is ultimately the game for all of us! I believe in proactively working towards cracking the code of career longevity - it's too important to be left to something as capricious as luck.
I am glad that I got out of my comfort zone and made new friends. I hope I can impart some wisdom to them from my over two decades of varied experience, and in return learn from them the impatience, the willing to take risks, the novelty of ideas to create new markets, etc.
The event was ably hosted by SOHAIL SYED (roasguy). And a shout out to some of my fellow attendees whom I connected with - Meghana Tirumala, Honey Jain, Raveendra K., Rounak, Chandisha Umamaheshwaran, Kabir, Jinka Vishwanath and VENKATA MUKKAPATI.
Kudos again to GrowthSchool for organizing this brunch; they are doing a fabulous job of building communities!

As a founder and consultant, Iโm always intrigued by the stories behind businesses, their origins, their struggles, and their strategies for success. Recently, At the GrowthSchool community brunch, I had the opportunity to meet the founders of Coffea India, Ankiit Jaiin and his co-founders. Their entrepreneurial journey is a testament to resilience, adaptability, and a clear vision.
During the coffee conversation, I captured some invaluable lessons that resonate with any professional building a venture:
1๏ธโฃ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ โ Once a decision is made, having the conviction to stick with it is crucial.
Engaging your target audience ensures feedback is both relevant and actionable.
Anticipating worst-case scenarios equips you to weather challenges effectively.
Understanding risks while staying ready for spontaneous action can make all the difference.
Tailoring your approach to align with different demographics ensures scalability and sustainability.
These takeaways are not just principles for new businesses but also a reminder of how vital adaptability, strategy, and decision-making are for any business.
Entrepreneurship isnโt just about the idea itโs about aligning the right people, processes, and mindset to transform that idea into impact.
Conversations like this fuel my passion for creating solutions that empower leaders and organizations to excel๐

A big grateful thankful Subhash for making it a fun event. I loved the vibes and met some incredible ppl. Thank you GrowthSchool. Thank you Ravi and every person who made my day sooooo memorable.
I have been attending multiple events over the past few weeks.
Here are the common mistakes I made and want others to avoid:
Not Approaching People ๐ค: I assumed what others would think of me, which held me back. Everyone's there to networkโdon't hesitate.
Not Asking for Help ๐: I missed out on valuable insights by not seeking advice. Don't be afraid to ask.
Interrupting Conversations ๐ซ: I learned that interrupting others disrupts the flow. Wait for the right moment to contribute.
Not Being Polite ๐: Politeness goes a long way in building connections. I wasn't always mindful of this, and it showed.
Lack of Preparation ๐: Attending without clear goals or preparation limited my engagement. A little research goes a long way.
Neglecting Follow-ups ๐: I often failed to follow up after events, missing the chance to nurture new relationships.
I hope these insights help you navigate your next event more effectively.
What are some mistakes you've learned from in your networking journey?

I recently attended a free two-day workshop conducted by GrowthSchool that focused on two key aspects, use of AI in UX design process and Portfolio/Case study making. The first session, conducted by Vivek Dubey , highlighted how AI can be used in UX design process. The second session, which was conducted by Kartik Singh, covered steps to create industry-standard portfolios and compelling case studiesโan area Iโve personally found challenging. The workshop was insightful, practical, and truly valued my time.
Key takeaway's from the session:
Balance Between Online and Offline Portfolios:
Online Portfolios:
1. Should be concise and targeted.
2. Highlight 4-7 pages that showcase your skills and fit specific industries (e.g., fintech).
Offline Portfolios:
1. Allow for detailed case studies, including NDA projects (if permitted).
2. Provide space for process explanations, ideal for personal presentations.
Additionally, leveraging AI tools can transform how you present your work, turning static designs into engaging video presentations that captivate recruiters and showcase your expertise effectively.
Overall, the workshop provided me with clear, actionable steps to create portfolios that stand out and utilize AI effectively. It left me inspired and ready to put these new skills into practice!
A big thank you to the organizers and mentors of the workshop on AI in UX design and building portfolios!

6th October, I witnessed something truly inspiring!
Despite Chennai's chaotic traffic, due to the Airshow, our GrowthSchool Chennai Cohort came together. Their determination to overcome obstacles for personal growth & collective progress was remarkable.
Why do we gather? To inspire each other, forge meaningful connections, & build a community of world-changing leaders.
We started late, but the energy was electric. Ideas flowed. Connections sparked. Future collaborations took root. It was a powerful reminder of what happens when purpose unites us.
I'm grateful to Ravi Varman, our usual host & fellow member, for trusting me to step in. His faith in our community's resilience speaks volumes.
To those who attended: thank you. You are the heart of this community. To those who couldn't join: we missed you. Your perspectives would have added even more vibrancy. I hope to see you next time, creating even stronger bonds together.
Looking ahead, I'm excited. Our future isn't just about numbers โ it's about impact. Each of us, familiar faces and new, expands our potential to inspire change.
Remember, our true success isn't measured by logistics or attendance. It's measured by how we inspire each other to become better leaders and create positive change.
Here's to our journey ahead โ to grow, to connect, and to make a difference. Together, let's build something extraordinary.

Offline #networking always gives high potential talents.
.
As a #PerformanceMarketer, filtering is a key process I rely on for tasks like keyword filtering or leads filtering.
This allows me to focus on the most relevant data and achieve optimal results with greater efficiency.
Similarly, in offline settings like brunches, meetups, or networking events, these serve as filters to connect with #high-potential individuals.
These interactions streamline the path toward career growth, making it easier to form valuable relationships and see new #opportunities.
