I was struggling when I started my entrepreneurship journey.

And who doesn’t?

As a young entrepreneur, I had limited knowledge of Sales, Marketing, Automation etc

I started following a bunch of influencers and came across Vaibhav Sisinty ↗️ on the Houston Golden’s Linkedin Bible.

There was something about him that struck my attention.

That’s when I decided to join his Linkedin Mastery Workshop. I was so impressed that I went ahead to be a part of the Growth Hacking cohort, as well.

Now it's been more than two years since I’ve been a part of his community.

What exactly did I learn?

The applications of data in our Sales and Marketing.

How to Create and Leverage Networks

Use of new tools for data scraping, emailing and so much more!

I gathered all my learnings and used the same at my startup.

And guess what? It helped me grow revenue for my freelancing consultancy from 0 to 10,00,000+ in only 10 months!

I was able to partner with a bunch of clients/agencies, and people thanks to the GrowthSchool community.

These days, I’m driving ROI for growing companies using growth-hacking tactics I picked up during these workshops.

I have turned “growth hacking” into a career.

I’m currently also building my next startup to introduce Metaverse, AI and ML, and Quantum Mechanics for the Indian Defense and Space Industry.

I want to help the country’s startups grow and believe that India will have more than 100 unicorns by 2023.

Because, when they win, we win!

From doing electronics at a Government Polytechnic College to becoming a Performance Marketer 🤟 at the age of 23 because of the GrowthSchool Performance marketing cohort..🙂

It has been one hell of a journey, but hey how did it start. Let me tell you that

In 2016, I cracked Government Polytechnic College and got an Electronics Engineering stream.

Everything was going normally, but a YouTube video ad from Godaddy changed my thinking and career path.

It was in the second year of my college when I first saw a video ad for Godaddy.

It talked about how they'll help you design a professional-looking website for your business and all the services come for free.

I was astounded by the information provided in the ad and decided to visit their website. After that, Godaddy is always on my mind!!

Before I saw this ad, I thought that the only way to make a website is to code, but I was wrong.

After that day, I discovered a tool called WordPress and it changed everything.🤗

I also made my own Hindi blog website with it and started blogging as well. | businesshunk.com 👨‍💻

Long story short, in these four years, I have become an expert in WordPress website design.

I started providing freelance services for website designing, digital marketing and blogging.

At the same time, I also learned digital marketing from YouTube.

With all this knowledge:- website designing +
digital marketing + blogging + business interest.👨‍💼

I started my startup in my hyper-local area मिर्ज़ापुर, उत्तर प्रदेश: A online cake delivery business:- desifoodhood.in

But you know what happened? I failed 3 times.🥺

Reason for my failure: My YouTube digital marketing knowledge was unorganized + Low Marketing Budget.

So, I decided that I'll require mentorship to have a proper direction.

I started looking for multiple options but then I came to know @GrowthSchool performance marketing mentorship by Deepan Siddhu & Ashwin Palo

I enrolled in this mentoring program because the title of their ad copy was "LEARN WITH THE TOP 1%". 🔥 🔥

In short, this is what I did in the performance marketing workshop B7

 Collaborated with a team of 8 members to develop a website; assigned to design a landing page using WordPress.
 Used various Digital Marketing tools such as GTMetrix, Sharethrough,
Headline Studio, Attention Insights
 Engaged in Click Test analysis; used tools such as Usability Hub,
peppertype. ai, WordPress Caching Plugin WP Rocket.

The best thing I've learned in this program was about three types of audiences when running Google Ads: P1, P2, and P3.

Thanks to GrowthSchool for creating this opportunity to be mentored by Deepan Siddhu & Ashwin Palo

With all the knowledge I have acquired about performance marketing in the last 2 months, I am looking forward to jobs as a performance marketer. DM me if you have any openings. 🤝🙂

My Personal Experiences - A few months ago, I enrolled in the Vaibhav Sisinty ↗️ Growth Hacking Workshop.

I immediately began using hacks on both my client's and my own businesses.

As a result🙏, the majority of the hacks assist in achieving good results. And because of this, I got enrolled in more courses and recommended some more people as well.

The issue isn't that people aren't BUYING. The problem is that your course cannot immediately solve its core problem.

I am pleased to share that 2 months ago I had the privilege of joining JUSPAY as a Product Designer! My journey here so far has already been phenomenal, I feel blessed to have found such a positive, fun and supportive place to work at, can’t wait to continue learning & growing with this incredible team.

Last year, I decided to move from fashion/textile design to product design and I still thank my stars (or algorithm lol) that I found Anudeep Ayyagari's video on my feed. His mentorship and support pushed me far beyond the umbrella of just ‘ux’, it changed the way I learn and value myself. Thank you Anudeep Ayyagari (UX Anudeep)!

Also a heartfelt thank you to Jasjeet Plaha, Shriya Ramchandani and Utkarsh Gill for creating a community like Offcampus, working with me for hours every single day and not letting me settle for anything but the best!

I’ve always seen myself as an open-minded individual.

Especially when it comes to learning a new skill or subject.

That is why when Antesh Anand recommended a five-day LinkedIn workshop by GrowthSchool founder Vaibhav Sisinty ↗️ to me, I saw this as an opportunity to learn something I had NO idea about.

And what an experience it has been!

It won't be wrong to say that the workshop entirely changed the way I viewed LinkedIn.

With each session, I started understanding the massive potential this platform holds.

Vaibhav 's engaging video sessions and practical assignments made sure I was ALWAYS intrigued.

I am looking forward to implementing my learnings. So, if you see me being more active than usual, you know the reason 😃

And if you are trying to build your personal brand on LinkedIn and want effective marketing insights, you should consider enrolling in the workshop.

You won't regret this one :)

Don't you know Growth School?

GrowthSchool is an #upskilling platform.

They host niche curated professional growth courses.

Few of them includes:

-Freelance content writing
-LinkedIn growth hacking
-UI
-Product Management
-Performance Marketing
-And even Angel Investing!

I got to know about Growth School via Google search. I was curious to know about this startup. So I checked their website. I scrolled a bit. And things changed from there.

One of their marketing pillars greeted me. It offered me some cookies online!

Why?

Growth School runs a workshop on LinkedIn growth. Vaibhav Sisinty, the founder, conducts it often.

I was hesitant to take the workshop but then Vaibhav, an astute digital marketer, managed to appear in my Instagram feed. Soon, he became more familiar to me than my friends!

I learned a marketing lesson - Cookies work wonders when targeted at prospect's pain point and then backed with an enthusiastic and crisp video ad.

I got excited for what Growthschool had to offer.

The barrier to entry was low, so I enrolled for the workshop.

Soon the team smoothly on-boarded me.

My experience:

-Their customer support is quick.
-The prices for the course are pretty reasonable.
-My overall experience on the platform was great.
-The value addition they provided was phenomenal.

Growth School is a great startup. They have made learning easy and practicable.

Our batch got to learn from Vaibhav Sisinty ↗️ and Ambarish Essetty ↗️

Both have excellent digital communication and teaching skills.

Their sessions were engaging and full of enthusiasm.

While I learned a lot from the course, I also learned marketing lessons from my overall customer journey.

I must say,

Ed tech can be fun.

Ed tech is the future.

Do you want to venture?

"August has been the busiest?"
.
.
.
.

Sneak a peek into my August!

As August is coming to an end and September is ready to take on, these are some of the things I did to help me get better at being me:

Worked. A lot. On Myself. 😊

How?

- Started working out after a gap of few months. 🏃

- Rekindled the love for reading BOOKS. 📚

- Planned my first solo International trip to Vietnam. Flying on 3rd September for a month-long stay there. ✈️ ⛰️

- Started writing and connecting on Linkedin. 📝

- Got introduced to the nuances of copywriting at GrowthSchool's 5-day workshop with Devargh Mukherjee 🧑‍🏫

- Upskilled myself, and gained a bit more clarity on freelancing and personal branding with a mini course at HustlePost Academy 📔

My learnings:

✒️ If you feel stuck, start with 30 minutes of doing something that you've been putting off.

✒️ It could be as simple as reading the article you saved on Linkedin for reading later or cleaning yourself.

✒️ I know it's difficult but life is beautiful on the other end.

The end where you do not feel guilty for procrastinating living a life you'll love.

Stop Your Ads & Know Your Aukat

Our sales dropped from 120+ orders to 10-18 orders a day, 😟 as we had to shut our ads till we got our new FSSAI license.

To which our investor commented -
"THIS IS OUR BRAND'S AUKAT"
Brutal, but the truth. We were 5-20% of our sales when the ads were shut.

Reminded me of Mahesh Patel teachings to build a sustainable brand not solely depending on ads -

Alliance Marketing (Earned Media) - Associate with people building brands in your vertical. For example- my product is in the weight loss segment, reaching out to people building fitness apps/ blogs/ brands and providing products/ services that they can provide to their users/ customers in exchange for media/ promotions. FREE PROMOTIONS!!!

Affiliate Marketing (Earned Sales) - No, it's not just adding a plugin to your Shopify store and waiting endlessly for some magic to happen. Affiliate marketing is about proactively reaching out to high-traffic relevant channels and convincing them to work with you. This will boost sales and maintain a steady revenue during festive seasons with ad costs going through the roof.

Repeat Purchase - or what Arjun Vaidya likes to call "The secret sauce of D2C brands” to achieve profitability.

A sustainable brand is a mix of -
Earned Media + Earned Sales + Repeat Purchase + Purchased Media & Sales

Thank you Mahesh Patel for the valuable lessons.

So, what strategies do you guys adopt to attract potential clients/customers without spending on ads? Comment below.

I want to go down memory lane, to learn how to be grateful for where I am now! I've had quite a multifaceted career throughout my life.

It started in 2006, when I was a student, to participate in an international conference I started working as a field representative. In the last year of my university studies, I decided to make a career move and worked as an executive in activation and event operations.

The most fascinating part of my career probably began from that point when I joined a telecom in 2010 as a VAS executive. Having worked there for 6 years, I learned so much about product management which led me to jump into another company to dive further into mobile and net-based products and analytics.

In 2016, along with 2 of my friends, we decided to launch our own company. This is where the reality hit and our actual career graph saw a rise.

By then I had a greater understanding of how data was utilized in sales and marketing thanks to my work in the telecom industry, and I was also aware of the potential applications for data in the future of business. I also discovered that there was currently a huge market gap in Bangladesh for skin care and baby care items. It was decided to start with the skin care industry because the market for baby care products requires time and investment.

I realised, D2C is fairly a new concept and very few people are into this model in Bangladesh. Besides website-based resources, there were not many options from which you get perspectives. It was important for us to learn the basics of the model and capitalize on this.

During this phase, I stumbled upon Growth School on socials and enrolled for D2C mentorship by Arjun and Trisha.

Well what exactly was my motivation to enroll for this?

- I knew I had to deepen my knowledge in the D2C Space as I had my own venture
- There could have been no better way than to learn from industry experts themselves
- I spotted many like-minded entrepreneurs attending this and a massive opportunity for P2P learning and growth

Were all my motives fed?

Well,

Couple of months down the program,

- We were doing marketing funnels previously but clear knowledge helped us to grow daily orders by 200%
- Validation of things we are doing right
- Knowledge of unit economics helped me to monitor the business more accurately
- the curriculum teaches grammar about D2C business KPIs, marketing funnels, product pricing, marketplace operations etc.- Everything you need to know before you start your own D2C business.

With a buzzing community , this program had an impact on me in several ways, references for prospective partners, and belief reinforcement from real entrepreneurs. It's all owing to the Growth School community that I was able to collaborate with so many potential partners, agencies, and individuals.

Till date my phone gets notified with 1000+ messages on a daily basis where D2C enthusiasts are keen to help each other. GrowthSchool Arjun Vaidya Trisha Rajani Vaidya

Everyone in my cohort is extremely smart. I feel I haven't done enough in my life. There is so much more to do!

The people I met in the very first icebreaking session gave me such jitters. I almost asked myself, 'How did they choose me to be a part of this program?'
---
When I was younger, my then manager Alwin R had once advised that when you are part of a room, you are there for a reason. You are there because you deserve a seat in that room!

Eventually, I learned that a space is defined by the people who are in it. So, if you are part of a group, speak up, have opinions, have debates, and ask questions.

Hesitant, doubtful, and nervous, I began interacting and putting across my thoughts in every interaction in the program.

The 8-week intensive Brand Marketing Fellowship program mentored by Sai Ganesh, offered by GrowthSchool, has been rigorously covering KYCCC models, modern #brandpractices, brand purpose, #archetypes, etc. while every week is beefed up with top-scale guest sessions.

Bit by bit, each community session helped me get a sense of my #identity within the entire brand marketing and industry circuit. From feeling like an absolute nobody, I understood my abilities and strengths better than before.

I now knew what I brought to the table and how.
---
And while the crazy work schedules, business management, and sales pitches were going on the side, I soon leveled up to be offered a community leadership role by Jita Mohapatra↗️, and now, today, I am also helping out my fellow mates from the D2C Mentorship program.

This has been my journey in just 5 weeks. And I am on a happy high.
That, and hoping I bring my A-game out and really add value to the lives of all the people who will attend.

It’s okay to be confused, It’s okay to make mistakes but what truly makes us a designer is the curiosity and hunger to keep learning and improving our mistakes.

How are Self-taught Designers born?
Feeding their hunger to understand design and how design can solve modern day problems. They read articles on the internet, take self learning courses , join cohorts, seek mentorship, connect with people in design and people who want to get into design and more.

Strategizing New-Age Marketing Campaigns for Exciting Brands

I have to admit, when I heard Devargh Mukherjee say that reading screenplays can make you a better copywriter, my heart did a little dance...

You see, the reason I can even string together words and lines of brand communication today (which is 40% of my task list), is because of the intuitive referencing that I am now capable of.

All those hours of reading movie scripts, newsletters from every nook of the internet and every redundant/relevant email that reaches my multiple inboxes seems super useful in hindsight...

Content consumption is a pre-requisite for content creation.

And as Devargh Mukherjee said, Everything you want to do is already done, what matters is how differently you want to do it! There are endless ways to. (May have paraphrased poorly)

So much to love about the creative process! Gives me a reason to hustle every morning :)

Super insightful session with this copywriting Gandalf! Thanks GrowthSchool :)

Age Is Just A Number! REALLY?

Well, To be really honest with you, until today I believed that this is merely a saying but what happened today really made me think harder!
I was attending a workshop last night on personal branding and how LinkedIn can help in that wherein during the Q&A session, a strange thing happened.

A person of about 50 years of age had speech difficulties for a long time and he has finally started recovering. His wife was sitting beside him introduced him and was helping him understand the session. After her question that she asked, she briefed us about his condition and told us that she works from day till evening and helps him study at night. His wife is supporting him to restart his career from fresh.

I mean how often do we come across such people? It is really difficult for anyone to be at that age to have such severe problems and still have HOPE.

This really inspired me a lot and taught me that no matter how old you get, or how difficult the situation might be, it is you who decides what you can do and cannot.

So, Age is really only a number, that’s all. It has no limitations! The only limitations are the ones you set for yourself. It’s like Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” Those who are fearless, never grow old.
Those who dare to become their truest version will find a deeper purpose in life. And, when life has a purpose, the time has no boundaries. When the time has no boundaries, age really is just a number!

#Branding : Very powerful #Quote from The Game of Thrones #GOT #Series : What unites People? Armies? Gold? Flags? #Stories. There is nothing more powerful than a Good Story.

#Storytelling is the key to everything, especially when it comes to branding.

But what is storytelling? And why is it so important? Here's a quick rundown of three reasons:

1. Storytelling makes you memorable. When you tell a story, you're more likely to be remembered than if you just talk about yourself. How many times have you heard, "I know that guy! He's always talking about himself, but he still seems really interesting?"

2. Storytelling makes you relatable and likable. When we listen to stories, we feel connected to the characters in them—and this connection helps us sense how our customers might feel if they could hear our brand's story as well.

3. Storytelling connects people with their passions and interests through shared experiences and emotions—a powerful way to build trust between brands and consumers!

Here's how I managed to save lives with the No-Code Application, how no code helped me bridge the gap between people and covid care resources, and How no code helped me save lives during the covid outbreak

We cannot forget when we were tremendously helpless with the shortage of medicines, oxygen supply, access to doctors, and looked out for covid resources. We ended up with some invalid phone numbers, out of which most were unreachable.

While witnessing this problem, I was wondering how can I be of any help to the people; that's when I decided to build the "Bengal Covid Care" application to minimize the gap between people and covid care essentials.

At that point, so much information about oxygen suppliers, medical supplies, food services, ventilators, and hospital beds was floating around the internet, but most of it was FALSE.

I am a developer; I know to develop on Microsoft .net platforms, Ruby on Rails, Shopify Plus, Liquid but creating an app in this usual way would have taken more time.

So, I decided to build an app in #nocode.

It took me less than 2 hours to turn my idea into a resource with the help of No-Code.

With the help of my wife, Masum Maiti, and teammates Poulomi, Atreyee, Santanu, and Souvik, I curated and verified the database.

We launched this app on 15th May 2021. Within 2 Days from launch, we received 5000+ Users with a meager Bounce rate.

Here's how I promoted the app:

I simply shared it among my network, my wife, and peers who helped me build this app successfully shared among their networks.

Within no time, I received positive feedback from the users; also, some celebrities promoted the app.

Well, are you wondering how did I learn to create a no-code app?

I attended GrowthSchool's No-Code Masterclass by ⭐ Keshav Sharma ⭐ GrowthSchool

During the second wave, my freelancing business hit rock bottom.

It almost felt like I was stranded on a no man's land and clueless about what to do next until I came across this guy who randomly appeared on my Instagram feed and was talking about how I could get more clients while leveraging LinkedIn. I dug a bit deep into what he was doing and why he could teach me LinkedIn so that I could convert new clients.

You might have guessed that this was none other than 'The LinkedIn guy' Vaibhav Sisinty ↗️

I signed up for the workshop and religiously followed all the 'hacks' and methods he showed us about optimizing LinkedIn profiles and reaching potential clients.

Soon I started to get responses from people I reached out to. And eventually converted some of them into clients.

Recommendations and referrals came in, and my freelance business took off.

Also, thanks to Vaibhav for allowing us to read his brain and how he thinks through his 365 Growth Hacks, which made me smarter and changed how I looked up to the industry.

From hitting rock bottom in April 2021, I have successfully scaled my freelance business to $4000/month (INR 3.2 lakhs/month).

I am also proudly a part of the world's fastest-growing space, i.e., The Web 3.0.

Also met so many people at Growth School whom I know from Growth Hacking Masterclass Batch 1 Days.

Got to network with people from various tech companies as well.

This was my first tech meet-up at Bangalore and the best meet-up ever maybe 🎉.

The only regret ☹️: I couldn't meet the OG Vaibhav Sisinty ↗️, I hope we soon have another meetup with you available, Vaibhav.

There's a famous saying, "You will never know until you try."

On August 17, 2022.

I heard that GrowthSchool is going to conduct the first Mega Hackathon.

I got excited and wanted to experience the startup culture.

I was curious to know how people with different expertise work together to build a product for the users.

I wanted to try this new opportunity, so I enrolled in the Hackathon.

On August 20, 2022,

We got divided into different teams. We got a problem statement for our hackathon. We got good wishes from our mentors.

On Day 1 of the Hackathon,

We got connected on Discord and got to know our team members better.

We understood each member's expertise and got comfortable with each other. We planned our tasks.

On Day 2 of the Hackathon,

The real struggle starts from here. A few members were only responding to messages.

We don't have a team of people with different expertise, so we have a limited perspective.

We did competitive analysis of direct and indirect competitors.

We did a Zoom call at 11 AM to understand each other's findings and make a conclusion out of it.

We had to find a target users to empathise with. Our target users are product management professionals.

And trust me, it's the most difficult task for me.

I had no idea we faced such challenges until I participated in a hackathon.

I didn't find any people from the product management domain in my network.

I got 2 leads, but they will be free in the evening.

We are again going to meet at 7 PM for our next planning.

We are targeting to finish the empathetic and defining stages by today so that we can proceed to the next step.

Any #productmanagement professional who are available for user interview can comment below.

You can also share your experience of working in a team on any project. How did you utilise the team potential.

Since making the switch from Research to Digital, I got to work with 88GB where Shrinath Mishra and Arjun Dhananjayan have built an amazing team. Together, we worked on multiple brand solutions like Paytm Money , OTTplay HT and Zoomcar.
While working for these brands, we worked with many other agencies as well. There was always more to learn and the brands themselves often brought us some really interesting problems.

While looking for certain answers, I kept coming across GrowthSchool's programmes and I felt there were answers left to be found.

I signed up for Organic App Growth Mentorship by Mentor Kanan Rai who had worked at Google Play. Eventually, I also sighed up for Ashwin Palo and Deepan Siddhu 's Performance Marketing mentorship camps. the business tactics that I explored with these programmes were eye-opening, to say the least. We were able to advise clients better as well as understand where we could better deliver value. It was like downloading 25+ years of experience across a few months!

I was invited to step up as a student mentor in the app growth cohort. Collaborating and Networking with agencies and businesses across the programme community has always been fun, meeting many bright minds. Learning from business leaders who are top of their field and getting tips from the best practitioners has been very helpful. Leaders like Manu Kapoor 🟢 Mak Savarkar Praveen Khichar motivate me every day with their industriousness and knowledge.

Now, I will step into a fresh role with BeyondWalls , carrying with me all the wonderful value I was able to get from the programmes.

This is one of those high ROI experiences and I look forward for staying in loop for new learning chapters with GrowthSchool !

3 months back, while scrolling I saw an ad.

It was from GrowthSchool,

Pitching me for a Performance Marketing course from Deepan Siddhu & Ashwin Palo.

The massaging was crisp and checked all my pain points.

There was no doubt it was "the solution" for me.

Enrolled for the live webinar,

It was stacked with so much value that I just couldn't resist from buying the course.

But unfortunately, I didn't have enough money.

So instead I made a investment that I could afford.

I bought the Facebook ads course.

And thanks to GrowthSchool it was on discount!

Fast forward 3 months,

I got a client, who threw a challenge to hit 3x MER.

The terms were simple,

If I do it he will pay 10% of his ad budget,

or else I work for free.

Challenge accepted!

I started with the campaigns,

Followed each and every bit of information shared by Deepan Siddhu sir.

Staring from the ecommerce funnels, the right bid strategies, 'Get' in CTAs , Direct response copies for the TOF, and so much more.

And not to mention the calculators that Ashwin Palo sir shared,

Made my life so much easier.

Long story cut short,

I got paid Rs 45,000 and the client is still working with me.

And all the credit goes to Deepan Siddhu and Ashwin Palo for sharing so much value, that buying the course almost feels like stealing now.

Can't thank Vaibhav Sisinty ↗️ enough for bringing such a great learning opportunity.

D2C Founder & CEO - Shapen You, Responsible For The Growth & E-Commerce Operations | Healthcare & Wellness Startup | Entrepreneur | Digital Marketing Specialist | Growth Hacker | DTC | Internet Startups

From working as a bartender after losing my father at the age of 16 to building a D2C Ayurvedic company, @ShapenYou, with my wife, here are my last 15 years of the journey:

My father was into business, so I knew I would get into business since I was a kid.

But due to unfortunate events, I lost him at the age of 16.

It led me to work in the hospitality industry as a bartender.

I even lost my mother when I was 18. Since then, I never planned anything in life but just grabbed opportunities that came my way.

As I always wanted to get out of the hospitality industry, like every confused person at that age, I decided to do an MBA.

I did my MBA in Marketing from the University of Lincoln (UK) & worked for a student couponing website in the UK (2011-12).

With my savings, I started a digital content agency, Thatscoop, in 2014, as I always felt I belong in business.

Soon we were a 30+ strong team which executed campaigns for brands like Kellogg's, Cadbury, Ford, Mercedes etc.

Everything was going well, but suddenly we landed in big trouble with GST.

It led to the cancellation of our GST number and the closing of our agency.

At that time, my wife became my great support system and helped me regain self-confidence.

With the knowledge and confidence, I gained working for these brands, I wanted to start my brand for a long time.

But I never took the first step to do so.

Finally, the pandemic gave me the final push to start an Ayurvedic D2C healthcare brand, @ShapenYou.

My struggles and interactions with other people about weight loss during the pandemic inspired me to start it.

We began as a two-member team, myself and my wife. From finalising the formulation to everything content, she has been a great help to start and grow the brand.

But I was struggling to scale it, and it seemed like I was driving in the dark.

That is when I saw a LinkedIn post by Arjun Vaidya about a D2C cohort on GrowthSchool

He and Trisha Rajani Vaidya will teach about scaling your D2C brand, so I enrolled in it.

When I saw the peer founders and their seriousness for the course, I got more motivated to learn and implement everything in my business.

Our daily sales were between 10K-15K before I joined the cohort and I was extremely proud of it.

But soon, I realised that we still haven't scratched the surface yet, and there's enough to do.

I started learning from community members' experiences which helped me make the right business decisions.

Finally, last week we achieved our daily highest sales of 2.2 lakhs.

From feeling like driving in the dark in scaling my D2C brand to having 10x+ times sales, it all happened just by implementing the knowledge shared by Arjun & Trisha.

In this journey, I realised that knowledge is probably the most valuable asset anyone has got. You just need to keep growing this asset and implement it to get the desired result.

What is the most valuable asset for anyone according to you?

How did I exactly get inclined towards the D2C Space?

Well it all started back in 2013 when I started working in the FMCG company and traditional distribution business in Middle East and later shifted to Europe post 2020, while being a CA and MBA, I realised

I was a little too curious to understand the intricacies of the Indian market and always wanted to take a deep dive into it, my experiences abroad helped me navigate my travel back to India to research on the same.

Having followed Arjun Vaidya I stumbled upon an opportunity to be mentored by him via a GrowthSchool program, it was a good chance for me to learn and build my knowledge base on the market research journey.

I always have known that, eventually I want to set up my own D2C business or work closely with a brand focused in this space.

This program made me understand that its not all hunky dory and execution is above anything. Unit economics is significant in this business considering the complexity of operations in India.

This program gave me a deep understanding on how to manage market places , operations and aggregrators etc

The D2C Community has a huge contribution, till date post completion of the program as well, my whatsapp has 1000+ notifications everyday with cohort members sharing learnings, doubts and talking about similar interests and offering help, in today’s day and age, being a part of the community is something one should be grateful for.

Getting direct access to such huge indutrialists was a blessing in disguise that helped me learn beyond what any other online course could.

The bigger the personality, the more the arrogance was always my initial perception, But meeting Arjun Vaidya came across as a very warm experience and he was someone who extended genuine support to the entire community. He is very non-transactional and always eager to help where he can,

This is my biggest take away from this program

I’m writing this to motivate millions of people who are D2C enthusiasts and often dont pursue their interests, take that one step and upskill yourself because educating yourself can never go wrong!

Building Origins Nutra | Founder Flow Workspaces

It's been just about 2 years since we started working on Origins Nutra, and these 2 years have been just about the most challenging yet enriching years of my life. We set out to build a clean label, plant-based and scientific nutrition brand that helps people lead healthier and happier lives.

I have observed over time that these crucial years of building a strong foundation for this organisation often involve tons of experimentation -

What kind of products to launch?
How to position your brand?
What kind of ads to run?
What tools to use?
Which shipping provider to go for?
How to retain your customers?
How to add the right kind of value to your user's life?

The list is endless, and often it takes a lot of time and effort to figure these things out. While each organisation is unique in its own way they still have to go through this process of figuring these things out.

Two things help speed up this process,

Constant learning - A strong emphasis on constantly upskilling yourself and your team. I have seen that with the right kind of balance between knowledge and experience it becomes way easier to get started. However finding the right resources becomes imperative, to ensure you are consuming structured and useful content that adds value instead of confusing you further.

A Strong Community/Network - Having a group of people who are going through something similar and solving similar problems, helps you understand, validate your ideas and learn from each other.

If you are a D2C founder like me or are considering becoming one, I would highly recommend the D2C Mentorship Program by GrowthSchool it is taught by Trisha Rajani Vaidya and Arjun Vaidya. I have done a lot more courses from Growth School but this is one that has helped me the most.

There aren't many resources available to understand what goes into building a strong Direct to Consumer business. The time I spent part of this cohort not only helped me understand the basics but also validated a lot of ideas and the direction I was heading in. It also helped me find a strong community that's always ready to help and to act as a sounding board.

My biggest learning from the program and also our current focus at Origins Nutra -

We often get lost in growing numbers and sales, but we miss out on building a strong brand and a MOAT for ourselves, to sustain in the long term you should build something that's not easily replicable. We are currently building Origins 2.0 and even though it's been 2 years it feels like we still getting started! Stay Tuned!

Helping business grow with digital marketing activities| Growth Marketer |ASO| Decoding business case studies in free time

How upskilling transformed my career from a Digital Marketer to a organic Growth marketer

Upskilling at GrowthSchool helped me become a Swiss knife. I successfully managed to crack an opportunity with a mentor at GrowthSchool and I am working on enterprise SEO now.

I had been following Vaibhav for a long time and always admired his knowledge and work.

To start with, I got introduced to GrowthSchool's LinkedIn 5-day Crash Course, and then soon they launched Growth Hacking Intensive Program; I enrolled in both the programs consecutively.

I was already working as a freelancer, where I helped my clients with SEO reports and services. As I started learning Growth Hacking, my working pattern changed, and I was able to create more in-depth information, impressing my clients, and then helping me convert them into paying clients.

When I started implementing LinkedIn Growth strategies, my profile views grew by 2X, and I got multiple opportunities and job offers.

Soon, Growth School launched Performance Marketing Intensive program, and yes, I enrolled without giving it a second thought. It proved to be a reliable learning resource.

Yes, you can learn to set up an ad campaign on Google, but creating campaigns that converts make you a REAL PERFORMANCE MARKETER & that's what I learned here.

I started my professional journey as a freelancer who provided SEO services, but as I upskilled and learned more about Digital Marketing, I started offering other benefits too.

I enrolled in GrowthSchool and acquired new skills like designing a landing page, understanding the copy, making the best use of different tools, improving the optimization of the landing page, and more.

Learning at GrowthSchool helped me gain more skills and confidence to monetize them. Soon, I grew my freelancing charges by 2X.

Within a few months, I saw a growth of 35% in my earnings.

But I wanted to do something more.

And soon, I cracked an opportunity with one of the Growth School mentors who taught enterprise SEO during the Growth Hacking Intensive Program.

Oh wait, do you want to know how I managed to crack that opportunity?

Well, not in any traditional way.

After attending one of the session on enterprise SEO by Growth School mentor, I started following the mentor, and I saw a post about a role for working in enterprise SEO.
The interviewer was pretty impressed. Later, I attended three rounds of interviews, cracked them, and bagged the role.

The skills I acquired during performance marketing and Growth Hacking helped me grow professionally.

A special thanks to

Product Designer at DeHaat

From losing my job as a footwear designer because of the pandemic to becoming a Product Designer at one of the fastest-growing Agri Tech start-ups, DeHaat here is my story:

I was a student in B.Sc. in footwear design of batch 2017 - 2020.

I was all set to join my new company as a footwear designer, but the pandemic happened.

I was stuck in Noida, and after 3 months, I could finally go to my hometown, Ranchi.

I was looking for jobs as a footwear designer there, but the companies demanded to work from the office.

And because of the COVID-19 situation, I couldn't go as it was not safe.

After that, I started questioning myself about going for a career change.

I studied many career options and I came across UX design that I found really interesting.

So I decided to self-learn in UX design.

But there was just a plethora of content on Youtube and so many articles, but everything was unorganised.

So, I decided that I'll require mentorship to have a proper direction. I started looking for multiple options but then I came to know Anudeep Ayyagari (UX Anudeep) had a program

Initially, I thought it was just a regular course but when I started attending the weekly calls in which he would urge us to ask questions and make us comfortable and he not only guided but he kept motivating us whenever we self doubted or worried

When I joined the course, I had very scarce knowledge about UX Design.

But as I kept doing the projects and hackathons, I gained confidence and built my portfolio.

And just after my 2nd project in August, I got an internship as a User Experience Designer in Gaana

After working there for 4 months, I started applying for full-time jobs.

It was quite disappointing in the early stage because everyone wanted experience, and I was just a fresher with only 2 projects and internship experience.

I applied to all the companies I saw on LinkedIn, Indeed, and all other job-seeking sites, but I heard back from none.

Finally, I started using LinkedIn and connected with HR, and lead designers/designers.

That is how I got selected by DeHaat as a Product Designer in Jan 2022.

From feeling very under-confident about making a career in UX to getting a job in Dehaat as a product designer, it would have never been possible without a mentor like Anudeep Ayyagari (UX Anudeep)
Thanks to GrowthSchool for creating this opportunity to be mentored by Anudeep Ayyagari (UX Anudeep)

In this journey, I have realised that sometimes we just need to go with the flow and accept the changes life is taking us through. The only thing we can do is give 100% effort, give your best whatever you are up to.
