I hired Jane on short notice to format my debut novel twelve days before the scheduled release date.
First, I sent her a two-chapter sample, and I was thoroughly impressed with her work – there was nothing I wanted to change.
Six days before the release date, I sent her the complete manuscript, including front and back matters.
However, there was a complication – some dialogue quotations appeared straight while others looked curly.
Upon informing Jane about the issue, she assured me that she would take care of it. True to her word, she rectified the problem, ensuring the manuscript was ready for publication on schedule, and right in time to secure approval from Amazon for the release on the designated day.
However, on the morning before the release date, I woke up to the news that Amazon had rejected the submission due to an issue with the book cover file.
When I shared this setback with Jane, she guided me on what I needed to communicate with the book cover artist to meet Amazon's requirements.
While Jane had technically completed her job, she continued to provide support as I encountered various challenges and contemplated announcing a rescheduled publication date.
Despite the tight deadline, Jane exceeded my expectations. She proved to be both flexible and reliable, demonstrating patience and responsiveness throughout the entire process.
