A PM School appreciation post :)
Product management being a new domain, it doesn't really have a proper curriculum as such, colleges don't teach the subject and all that aspiring entrants can do is watch a few Youtube videos and read a few blogs. I was in the same boat about a year back, and that was when I learnt about PM School's Live Program.
As an alum of the program, there are 2 key aspects that I really want to highlight which I think make this program stand out from others -
1. Curriculum - The 8-week curriculum covers all the major topics in product management that an aspiring PM should know about. The weekly assignments, assignment discussions, feedback on how you performed, to be honest felt like I was back in school again :). A structured learning like this in my view is really important especially for a profession that is new and one that colleges don't cover much at all.
2. Mentorship - When you are a young APM/PM or even an aspirant, what you need more than anything is to have a guide who can help you with your journey, from giving you mock interview prep to bigger things like how to navigate your PM career. The mentorship aspect of the program is one of the best value-adds for any aspirant.
A big thank you to Nikunj S., Ankit Bareja, and Kushaal Devanahalli for their mentorship and support throughout the program!
If you are a PM aspirant or even an junior APM/PM and are looking for a structured way to crack your first PM role or to become better at your current one, I would suggest that you look no further than PM School :)
It’s been two months since I transitioned into a product role. This wouldn’t have been possible without PM School. It provided a practical guide to fill the gaps in my preparation. The entire community is super helpful and Ankit himself is just a text away. For anyone who is looking to kickstart their product journey, the next cohort begins in June. Do check it out.
I've been working in the startup space for quite sometime now and Product Management is something I've been pretty curious & enthusiastic about. While speaking to Nikunj Sharma about this he suggested I schedule a mock interview session with PM School to get an idea if I have the right aptitude and attitude to eventually transition into this role in the future and also how much work I need to put into it.
I scheduled a session with Kushaal Devanahalli and it was very insightful and so well structured. I got some very critical and interesting feedback on my approach and thinking. Most importantly, I got a feedback mail with things I could work on and read up on. Thanks PM School for this initiative, it's definitely very helpful!
A new chapter begins.....
I am elated to share that I have joined Sportskeeda as an Associate Product Manager. Thank you Porush Jain, Siddharth Goyal for this opportunity; Thanks Ragini Tyagi, Rahul Raveendran for the smooth onboarding. I look forward to working with the SK Product team!
A glimpse into one of the companies that are revolutionizing the sports media industry has been one amazing day.
Couldn’t have been possible without my association with PM School, a community that has supported me for the last 8 months to move into Product Management. Extremely grateful to the encouragement and mentorship of folks such as Ankit Bareja, Nikunj Sharma, Kushaal Devanahalli, Agastya Tiwari, and other mentors who guided me at every step and made this transition successful
Also a shoutout to the Upraised family (Deepak Kumar, Aditya Behere, and others) for helping me upskill myself and help me understand the nuances of Product management in addition to providing exposure to a variety of different thinking methodologies.
With the sporting events returning to a relative sense of normalcy, these are surely exciting times for all sports fanatics like me and I am excited to be closely part of this going forward.

Hi everyone! I am delighted to share that I’ve joined Ola as Product Manager.
Special Thanks to my alumni network for introducing me to this opportunity and the amazing team at PM School for guiding me during the whole preparation phase. I never would have been able to reach this milestone without the mentors I've so fortunately met in my life.
PS: For those who are looking to transition to PM, I am happy to connect with you to share my PM journey and interview experiences.
My first day at Mobile Premier League (MPL) as an Associate Product Manager has been nothing less than exciting and exhilarating, to say the least. With a smooth onboarding process, all thanks to Manpreet Walia & Ishita Jain, a glimpse into one of the companies that are revolutionizing the gaming industry has been one amazing day.
Couldn’t have been possible without my association with PM School, a community that has supported me for the last 2 years to move into Product Management.
Extremely grateful to the encouragement and mentorship of Ankit Bareja and other mentors who guided me at every step and made this transition successful.
With the Indian gaming industry growing at 40% YoY, it’s an exciting space to be in to build for the next boom of mobile gamers, and I am looking forward to this new challenge.
Appreciation post for PM School. (PS: This is not a certificate boasting post)
As soon as my interest in product management grew, I knew it would be an added advantage to get proper guidance and mentorship to get through this competitive field.
Coming in contact with Ankit and getting to be part of the first cohort of PM school really helped me. In the two month cohort, I learned about various aspects of Product Management such as acquisition, retention, UX, roadmap, development, different Technologies & product analytics. I got to know more about real-world product management instead of bookish knowledge.
Regular feedback on the assignments given by my mentors, helped me improve a lot. The regular mock interview session helped me improve my interview preparation, and as such, it helped me in the real interviews.
Even after the programme was over both my mentors Ankit Bareja and Nikunj Sharma , were always in regular touch with me clearing all my doubts. Their referrals in companies like Byjus, Invideo, StepSetGo etc. really helped me.
Thanks a lot, Ankit, Nikunj Sharma and all the other mentors at PM School, for putting in all the effort so that I could grow.
PS- You should definitely check out the case studies put up on their linkedin page. ;)
Would highly recommend PM School to anyone looking to learn about product management or transition into a PM role
A fantastic course with real life case studies and lectures from PMs across various domains that gives you good insights.
In the last couple of weeks when I was looking to explore the #productmanagement space, I felt the need to join a program where
a) I will get my basics in place
b) Get 1-on-1 mentorship
c) Be a part of an awesome product community
PM School ticked all these boxes for me.
In my first week of the program I had a 1-on-1 session with Nikunj and Ankit; I realized they genuinely cared about the cohort members and wanted to help them in every possible way. And yes, they have been there throughout- clearing the silliest of doubts, guiding and motivating me.
Coming to the course; it was well structured and the detailed feedbacks provided by Shantanu on the Product case assignments were invaluable. Kushaal helped us with the much needed strategy around interviews and Harmeet was always available to help me understand the nuances of the job.
All this helped me crack a Product role at Sportskeeda.
Thank you for everything guys! Y'all are awesome :D
I am delighted to share that I have joined Cashfree as an Associate Product Manager. It’s been 3 weeks since I have joined Cashfree remotely. The remote work environment has made it challenging to interact and get along with the new team members but I am thankful to everyone at Cashfree for being very considerate and helpful in making my onboarding process smoother.
When I was thinking to transition into the product role, I tried to speak with a few of my college seniors to understand the role. While I could get an overview of the job responsibilities, I still wasn’t sure if I was making the right decision. During this hustle, I came across PM School. The program was very convincing as they offered a well-structured 8-week training on different aspects of roles of PM along with assignments to work on, to get a complete understanding of the role. Besides, PM School also offered one on one mentorship, mock interview sessions, and access to a community of fellow PMs where you will find people frequently sharing PM-specific content and job opportunities.
I would like to thank Ankit and Nikunj the co-founders of PM School and Prajney my mentor at PM School for guiding me throughout my course. I would also suggest aspiring PMs to check out the PM School program.
I don't generally post on LinkedIn. But would like to make an exception and give a shout-out to PM School.
Having undertaken multiple online courses related to product management, I stumbled upon PM school on LinkedIn and started following their page and weekly challenges, and eventually ended up enrolling for their tutor-led cohort.
The unique approach of live classes along with weekly assignments in the form of interesting PM case studies made sure I learned about various types of typical PM problems and different ways to tackle them. It helped me transition from a B2B product and analytics background to a more streamlined B2C product role.
Last but not the least, an earnest shout-out to Ankit Bareja Nikunj Sharma for being always there as a sounding board for countless queries or curiosity-driven doubts I had.
recently completed the Live Program at PM School. Would recommend it to anyone looking to grasp the finer nuances of product management and build further on it.
The 8-week program comprises of live lectures from industry experts and case studies which simulate actual problems. Add to this the 1-on-1 mentorship, mock-interviews, assignment feedback & an access to PM community and its support. All in all, I felt home and was able to make the most out of my time.

A big shoutout to the PM school team : Ankit Bareja, Kushaal Devanahalli, Nikunj S., Debarati Bhattacharjee, Shantanu Korada, Chushul Suri thank you for all the unconditional support and guidance.
As I start a new chapter in my career with BYJU'S, I can't help but thank PM School for everything they have done for me so far.
I stumbled upon PM School by chance on LinkedIn and it piqued my interest in product management. While it was great being a product developer, I wanted a more intellectually stimulating role. I am glad I followed up on my interest.
From the onset, Nikunj Sharma painted a clear picture about the expectations and what it takes to crack a PM role. The PM bootcamp course was truly comprehensive and Nikunj Sharma and Ankit Bareja were there at every step for support and guidance.
I can't end this post without thanking Anirudh Agrawal, my PM school mentor who gave me some of the best pointers to improve myself in this journey.
"There are secret opportunities hidden inside every failure."
I am happy to share that I joined BYJU's as a Product Manager. I am beyond grateful for everything that #pmschool community has poured into me! The learnings I've gained and the wisdom I've collected will stay with me forever. I would like to thank to the entire team of PMSchool for creating such an intensive cohort based curriculum that gives such a holistic view of Product Management. I met some incredible people Prashanth Bhaskaran, Kriti Sharma and learned a ton from my mentors Ankit Bareja, Nikunj Sharma, Manish Soni, Nikhita Aron in my cohort.
Also, I would like to thank Shravan Tickoo for creating and delivering such an amazing content that learning product management becomes fun. It is fulfilling to be a part of such an amazing Product team at BYJU'S. Thank you Pranathi Murthy who supported throughout and helped me grow in every possible way.
Cheers to the new beginning!!
It's been two weeks since I started out as an APM with Housing.com, and I think it's high time I give credit where credit's due. A big thanks to PM School and the awesome team running them, without you guys this would not have been possible.
Looking to change roles and make a jump into the product field, I decided to enroll in this course at the recommendation of my friend and mentor Anupam Gautam. Those two months of learning with PM School and the referrals I got from them at various amazing companies is what helped me achieve making a transition into this newest chapter of my professional life.
The support, guidance, and advice provided by the team have been immensely helpful. A special thanks to Ankit Bareja, Nikunj Sharma, and Kushaal Devanahalli, perhaps the biggest influences whose support and mentorship I am immensely grateful for.
For anyone planning to pivot or break into the product field, I would highly recommend checking out the two-month course at PM School. These guys will do their absolute best in ensuring you can land PM roles.
#product #productmanagement #learning
Appreciation post for PM School.
I have been getting all the support and guidance from Ankit, Nikunj, and Kushaal since day 1 when I decided to pursue PM as a career. One of the learnings that I had personally is that if you really want to thrive in this career don't look for hacks just to clear interviews instead focus on structuring the problem.
As a proud alum, I would highly recommend this course for the folks who are looking to break or want to transition into PM where you will learn different frameworks to conquer problems.
But why you should consider joining these folks?
1. Designing a solution is the easy part, but what it takes to thrive as a PM is how well you define and spend time in problem space.
2. Let's say if you worked well on a problem space, the next thing you gotta do is to estimate where your solution will not work and what are the tradeoffs you are looking at, and there comes the wisdom of these folks (who already have launched amazing products for millions).
Cheers:)
First LinkedIn Post:
Hi all. I have recently made a career switch to product management. It was quite a challenge for me to make this shift. Hence I thought I will share 2 things that worked for me, hoping that it might help a few others who are looking for a PM role:
1. I would like to thank PM School for their 2 months program. I found very good mentors there such as Ankit Bareja and Arjav Jain who have helped me through out all of my interview calls with mock interviews, feedback and mentorship. PM School is a great platform to both learn about PM role and also a networking platform to get good referrals. ( I can't stress enough about how important this was for me. Getting your resume even seen by HR is difficult if it is not from a referral. )
2. Coursera. This is one educational platform that truly helped me up-skill myself for the role of PM. I would strongly suggest one to either audit or certificate this particular specialization: Digital product management specialization (https://lnkd.in/dsf5Ccx)
If you guys want to get yourself enrolled for the next cohort of PM School, here is the link: https://lnkd.in/dXqNGPP
Nervous? A little bit. 😰

Many thanks to Shilpa Wadhwa and Sundi Raman for taking a bet on me. I cannot begin to express how grateful and excited I am to working with you as well as Jatin Mendiratta, who has already proved to be the best buddy ever! 😃
A million thanks to Saket Kumar Dwivedy and Avipsa Mohanty for supporting my decision and enabling me to explore my desire to "try something new"! 😛
And finally, a shoutout to the folks at PM School - Ankit, Nikunj and Kushaal to get me started on this journey in the first place! The learnings from the program and the mentors will surely stand me in good stead in my new as well as all future roles! 👏🏼
Onwards and upwards! 🔥🔥🔥
Last October 2020, When I started to look for product management communities I came across PM School they were doing weekend challenges. So, I participated in a couple of their challenges and got a taste of product management.
After that, I decided to join their January cohort (2 months program) and it was a great decision indeed. The cohort was well designed into 8 live classes and assignments done by industry experts. I also got a one-to-one experienced Product mentor to guide me through PMs' real-life problems. The best part was how the team was always available to clear your all kind of doubts from small to big.
Overall, I will recommend the PM School cohort to all Product manager aspirants looking to break into product management.
Thanks Nikunj Sharma, Ankit Bareja,Kushaal Devanahalli, Shantanu Korada, Mohit Agrawal

Back when I was looking to switch to a product role, I wasn’t sure how to make that switch since most companies required some sort of product experience. Also, they helped me practice questions through Mock Interviews and gave constant feedback which helped me a lot in the actual interview process. Recently I joined this 8-week training program by PM School which helped me gain a better understanding of product management.
PM School has a well-structured course in which they try to cover all the topics which are essential to break into a PM role.
Their weekly lectures are very interactive and the case studies I had made helped me a lot in understanding how to make pitch decks.
They assigned me a mentor who was very helpful and the mock interviews which he took, helped me find my strengths and weaknesses.
Thank you Nikunj S. Ankit Bareja Kushaal Devanahalli Mohammed Hussain for helping me better understand the role of a product manager and improving my skills.

Since Placement season is approaching, Let me share my story with you :’)
It started with solving Case studies and getting mock interviews with Mentors, I remember last year Ankit telling me, “You should go off-campus Shoaib, you’ve got a good profile”. Eventually, won many Case Study competitions and was able to create my Portfolio. Indeed it was Challenging but a great learning experience going off-campus, getting noticed by companies, trying hard to land into an interview, and getting rejected back to back, but in the end, the effort was worth it, I landed not one, not two but Three Job offers in Product, and decided to join the Head Digital Works Pvt Ltd. family as an Associate Product Manager.
Three weeks in and it’s been a really great working and learning experience with Sankalp, Mukul, Vikas vardhan sir, Pearl, and the whole Product team.
Would like to thank Ankit and PM School for special mentions and referrals, and also Ananya , Prabhjot, Gaurav, Samarth, Abhishek Sir, Mayank, and all my Friends, Seniors, and Juniors for help and guidance.
Attaching the link to my Portfolio in the Comments, it contains all my Case Studies, just in case :')
If you are planning to prepare or getting into Product , feel free to reach out would love to help.
I want to take a moment to thank the team at PM School. With their guidance, I was able to clear assignment rounds of most of the companies which were hiring for APM/Product Analyst during my college placements.
APM is a relatively new profile at my college and has a lot of candidates applying to it. I was lucky that I had Ankit Bareja bhaiya and Nikunj S. as mentors. The mock assignments and interviews were of great help and I learnt product skills which I can apply in my job.
Hi everyone,
I have started a new chapter, as a Product Analyst at inFeedo after 2 years in Myntra as a Data Analyst. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ankit Bareja & Nikunj S. from PM School for helping me iterate through my resume, providing references, motivating me during interviews, and most importantly, overcoming my mental blocks. I would also like to thank my mentor Prajney Sribhashyam for some amazing conversations about the psyche of a PM, and how problem > solution.
The 8 week program from PM School helped me build a solid foundation through the course material, case studies, one on one mentorship, mock interviews, and providing access to a community of PM's. I would recommend product enthusiasts and aspiring PM's to check out the PM School program for Product Management.
Happy to announce that I have joined ShareChat as a Product Manager.
I would like to thank PM School and Nikunj Sharma for helping me throughout this job search. Nikunj Sharma personally mentored and motivated me from time to time.
I would also like to thank Rathinamurthy R and Crio.Do for giving me the opportunity to solve challenging problems in the ed-tech industry. I am grateful to Rathinamurthy R and the team for helping me improve my problem-solving skills in my 2+ years of tenure at Crio.Do.
There are a lot of people who have shared their wisdom with me in the last couple of months which has helped me to make better decisions. Thanks to all of them whom I couldn't personally name in this post.
I recently completed a 2 month Product Management program at PM School. This extensive course covered topics right from what a PM does, problem-solving, analytics to how one should prepare for an interview. I would like to thank Ankit Bareja, Nikunj Sharma and Kushaal Devanahalli for this amazing course and their support before, during, and even after the course.
Here are few reasons WHY one should consider the PMSchool's course
- 8 live modules covered by experts in the field (Anand Madanapalle Sridhar, Paritosh Singh, Nikunj Sharma, Asis Panda, Piyush Lahoti, Nihar Sawant, Laurin Lukas Stahl, Sonupam Kaur)

Elated to share that I will be starting a new role as Product Manager 2 within Expedia. A big thanks to Expedia Group, Ankur Singh Panesar, Kshitij Chandiok and Mahesh Mohan for supporting me and giving me an opportunity to transition from my software development responsibilities to this role.
This wouldn't have been possible without PM School, Ankit Bareja, Nikunj S., Karan Miglani and Vikram Gahlot who have constantly mentored me and helped me upskill.
I would also like to thank some of my closest friends for always being there to motivate and support me through thick and thin. If you think you're one of these friends, then you probably are one and I hope I can be a similar presence to you.
I've recently joined AirBlack as Product Management Intern.
The PM School has been a driving force behind the whole process. Their 2-month well-structured Product management coursework along with practice interviews helped me evolve and fine-tune my concepts about PM.
I'd especially like to thank Ankit Bareja and Nikunj Sharma for all their support and guidance throughout the process.
I am extremely happy as I got the chance to be part of PM School Co-Hort program. At PM School, I was a part of group who will be future product leaders, where we understood the nuances of product management and demystify a lot of corners around it.
The Program is a well organized ride, where you will be tested as a Product Manager with weekly Product Case Studies and Assignments (i.e. a good mix of hard - enjoyable) and you also get feedback from the founders themselves. The Program also offers to pair you with a personal mentor where you can literally ask them about CIRCLES method and trust me they will tell you why and when you can use it.
All thanks to Nikunj Sharma Ankit Bareja and Kushaal Devanahalli for helping us with their valuable feedback in understanding how to #PM and also how to #betterPM
Moving out of the family business has not been an easy decision but something that needed to be done for my personal growth. After exploring a few internships and researching prospective careers I decided to pursue product management. However with no tech facing experience, a degree in mechanical engineering and work experience in coastal logistics I knew this would be an uphill task. I considered doing an MBA to make the switch but luckily I learnt about PM School through a friend (Thank you Nameer Khan !!). I spoke to PM school's co-founder Nikunj S., who was very realistic with what I can expect from the program. Apart from the excellent learning structure, the amazing network of senior PM's associated with PM School got me into a few interviews and I can't be grateful enough that I've landed a Product role with shopr.tv (YC W22)!! This would not be possible without Sankalp A Singh , my mentor, who gave me the much needed confidence, and Mukul Anand to take a chance with me given my background. Again, special thanks to the entire team at PM School, without which none of this would be possible.
It's very rare to come across organizations that put people and learnings before their business, and I am lucky to be a part of one such organization.
At Mindtickle, I was recently promoted to Product Manager, and there could not have been a nicer way to end the fiscal year. I am extremely proud & happy to have achieved this and a big part of it is due to my amazing managers and mentors Aseem Khare, CFA, Shweta Doshi Ninad Phadke Himanshu B. Ashish Tayal who have been relentlessly supporting me through all this. I have my whole team to thank for this as I keep learning from them every other day.
I thank my org to entrust me with the new avenue of #productmanagement, and I hope I live up to the expectations. Also, another buddy of mine PM School Ankit Bareja Nikunj S. Kushaal Devanahalli has been very supportive in giving me the required training for this new area. Do check out their 8 Weeks AMAZING program if you are transitioning to a PM role, Highly recommend it!!
Thank you once more, Mindtickle and Founders, for putting your faith in me!
I have completed Product Management course from PM School with great learnings. This helped me to an effective switch in job to product management domain. The one to one mentorship provided at PM school is very helpful. PM school has it's own seperate placement cell which is very helpful to find you a right job in product domain.
Thankyou Ankit Bareja, Nikunj Sharma, Kushaal Devanahalli and Harshita Singla for all the help.
This post is not just a testimonial but a call to all the folks out there who are looking to pursue a career in product management domain. Admissions for next cohort at PM School are open. Now is your chance.
Extending my gratitude to PM School for being the light at the end of the tunnel when I decided I wanted to steer into a Product role a few months back.
The extensive 8-week program helped me understand a lot of nuances of Product Thinking via solving multiple case studies, working on assignments, and participating in discussions with peers and mentors. Also, the constant support and guidance from my mentor, Ankit Bareja, Nikunj Sharma, Manish Soni and the whole community has been lucrative throughout my transition.
To anybody who's contemplating moving into Product and needs that little bit of a nudge in the right direction, this is your cue to go for PM School's flagship program!
