I would never have written an article per day about my stay in El Salvador without the peer pressure of this challenge. It enabled me to refine my thoughts on the subjects and get valuable feedback:
Join this new cohort!
Highly recommend this if you're looking to build a writing practice and are interested in Balaji-related topics, web3, crypto, etc.
The first batch has wonderful results
You know these 7 ideas that have been roaming around your brain lately; the ones that shine a tiny new light or give a slightly different perspective in 500words? I stumbled upon the 1st cohort a couple of weeks ago & got those 7 bits on figurative paper. Sign up. Thank me later.
It’s well-known that shared hardships build bonds between people (building startups, military training, etc.) and The Tech Progressive Writing Challenge (organized by @grant_nissly) was no exception in achieving this with brilliant 🧠 from around the world

Writing is a forcing function for clear thinking 💡
I spent mid- November ✍️ in the 1st Tech Progressive Writing Cohort. Met a bunch of great likeminded people. Forced me to ship ideas.
Highly recommended. The Next Cohort starts soon 👇
was exactly the person I needed to pull myself out of my procrastination for writing. The 7-day writing challenge, with other giga brains, was a sublime experience. Wasn't disciplined enough to write every day but this pulled me out of a rut.
1 - Getting ideas down on paper, writing as a way to distill thoughts and organize/frame tech progressive ideas.
2 - Networking with other tech progressives and enthusiasts as well as learning from a bigger community of thinkers.
Last week I saw a tweet from Grant Nissly setting a writing challenge to produce 7 x 500 word essays in 7 days. Sitting bored in isolation, I couldn't resist. Highly recommend people try to write more - such a refreshing shift away from just consuming content.
With over 80 essays produced in the first cohort, The Tech Progressive Writing Challenge is back for a 2nd cohort this December. Share your ideas, observations, analysis, etc. with the world. 7 days, 7 essays, 500 words each.
Writing challenges are hard. Here's the day 4 work from my The Tech Progressive cohort. It's been fun to explore ideas and technology together. 3 days left!
