Vasil HF taking place end of July. Steady on, the progress continues #Cardano
But we are thankful for the transparency and not keeping us in the dark, because it concerns our ecosystem. I am waiting to see when we can test smart contract with the new pointers optimisation feature on testnet for example.
I am neither a noob or a paid follower.
Vasil delay already priced in because nobody understands the architecture of Cardano anyway. Also that's fine, relax. $ADA
I understand the #Vasil integration wouldn't be an easy nut-to-crack.
It requires a lot of technical processes and testings. Little delay is expected and understandable 👌
If more time is needed to have a successful #Vasil hardfork, please take it.
#Cardano #CardanoCommunity
Is the #VasilHardfork delay unfortunate? Yeah, a little bit..
Will it derail us or slow us down in any way? Absolutely NOT 🙅🏽♂️
Making sure things are 100 is the Cardano way. 💯🙏🏼
#Cardano #CardanoCommunity
A few weeks delay in development really is of no consequence whatsoever @timbharrison and @InputOutputHK .
The very reason the #Cardano community is here is that you guys are taking your time to get it right.
Proceed please.
Thank you @timbharrison and all the people working hard at @IOG_Eng for NOT rushing this and giving the community time to tool up! Better late than broken. #WeAreCardano #goingForNumberOne #allDayEveryDay #Cardano #community
there is going to be some FUD about the Vasil hard fork delay from some people that have no idea what they're talking about, whatever man. Cardano has emphasized on doing things well. Delays are to do things better. I wish more people in CS had this view
1 month Vasil delay is bullish for #Cardano $ADA. More time to “buy the rumor” and then DApps will be actually ready to to go which means less to no “sell the news.”
You can move fast and break things, or you can break schedules and build fast things. $ada #Cardano
As expected by those who followed github issues and release-candidates there will be a ~1 month delay for the #Cardano Vasil Hardfork.
For good reasons! 1/n iohk.io/en/blog/posts/…
How can other developers contribute? In particular those like ourselves who also provide training materials that may need to be updated. Waiting for the public launch may not be optimal.
Thank you for listening to the community. Please take your time. Recent events in the Crypto world has shown us why your approach is the best.
Except it was not insider info, freely available info on the publicly available testnet channel if anybody was actually following the development progress, it was pretty clear that there was going to be a delay based on the progress and comments from the people testing.
Slow is Fast 👍
3rd party developers will appreciate the extra time to develop and test their tooling 😌
Thank you for the clarity, and more importantly, a commitment to secure, reliable, and responsible code and processes. Waiting an additional month is a very minor sacrifice to make sure #Cardano is the most secure and reliable in the industry. That matters more than ever. 👍
Yes, I've been in the project for 7 years. One more month or months is nothing. Let's go with everything, a great project that will change the world.
Appreciate the update and transparency Charles. Best to get things done correctly the first time. #Cardano is about measuring twice and cutting once. 💪
Anyone that says thanks for the transparency is a noob or paid follower.
so if you always delay like vitalik, you are not different with him
Good decision, Charles, no need to apologize.
Ready for testnet, as usual 🤟
I prefer to wait a little longer and be safe and certain things works well than just chase the market for quick gains. Thank you!

Say what you want about Cardano, but this is how a real Crypto communicates problems, updates timelines, and is transparent & professional.

Hi, yes i am part of the testing group in Vasil-Dev testnet. Things are running smooth, there are some tiny issues, but no dealbreakers so far. 😊
i can say for sure that we will not fork on the mainnet on the 29 of june next week. i don't have the exact targeted date yet, but testing is crucial yes. and if there are any bugs left, we will not fork. there is no real time limit that we "have to do it" at an exact date. so i see this pretty relaxed. when its ready, its ready.

I’ve said this elsewhere recently but will copy/paste here. What does the community think about seeing IOG use this language when scheduling an HFC…
I’ve no idea why on Earth IOG doesn’t switch to the system used in rocketry.
With rocket launches, they almost never give hard dates. They use a “NET” date, standing for “no earlier then…”
It would make so much more sense to be able to say that the Vasil HFC is currently scheduled for NET June 29, meaning June 29th would be the earliest possible date it COULD happen, but there are still possibilities that it could slip. This happens all the time in the world of rocket launches and I wish IOG would start using this language, as well as the blockchain world in general due to how often these sort of things get “delayed”
