It's worth noting that Cardano doesn't have this problem so maybe Ethereum PoS isn't as good. Cardano has non-custodial liquid staking on L1 instead and a saturation penalty built in to avoid any pools becoming too big. No slashing either lol.

The IOG team has successfully hard forked the #Cardano testnet.
The Vasil upgrade is now live on testnet, coming to mainnet in a few weeks. Expect Cardano DeFi to go into the rapids from here
Did you know that until now, a lot of ERC20 tokens just technically weren't able to be ported to Cardano because of missing functionality?
The Vasil update will allow a new class of tokens to be ported over -- notably non-custodial token, stablecoins & stateful tokens
The vasil hardfork will be a major step forward in making #Cardano the most performant, secure, and scalable layer 1 protocol all while moving towards decentralization and integrating EVM compatibility and dapp support. Exciting times ahead! ๐
Thought: pause-able contracts on Cardano after the Vasil fork.
How: make all usage of the contract need a reference input that contains an NFT w/ an open minting policy. If dApp author wants to pause their contract, they burn the NFT and then re-mint it when to unpause

Scalability is still unresolved issue of blockchains in 2022. Vasil HF is a small step for #Cardano. $ADA
Do check out Cardano Input Endorsers which will drastically improve throughput (on top of pipelining in Vasil HF) and finality.
