This all started 2 hours ago when I looked at @MartifyLabs's Plutus contracts.
Building on #Cardano has come down to this. The thick book of confusion known as Haskell for Dummies is evidently beyond my smooth brain. It's great. Really. I'm just slow. This'll take a while.
DeFi on Cardano will be an exciting place by this time next year, and the future will only get brighter. 🔮

There seems to a prevailing thought in the broad crypto community that #Cardano is slow to develop. I actually think this is entirely incorrect, Cardano is one of the fastest developing blockchains!

Cardano NFTs are native assets - first class citizens on the blockchain, not a smart contract like other chains. Fees are low and deterministic. Can send 100s of NFTs in 1 transaction. Huge community.

Seems like the past “concurrency problems” fud could now turn into “cardano’s new concurrency power”, because of its great UTxO model.
Some months ago, I was asked what I thought would be #Cardano "next big thing".
At the time, we only had a vague idea of what Leios was. The recent CIP from Duncan & al has shed some more light on it.
Ouroboros Leios is definitely the most promising L1 upgrade to come

I am excited about the liquidity bond. Will issue one for MYLO and see how it goes. Will require support from #CardanoCommunity to make it a resounding success. No other protocol I know of support using bonds.
The ponzi-esque-iness is not the same in "every crypto / NFT project"... If something works without getting money thrown at, it is not ponziesque. If it wouldn't it is! That's the issue IMO x.x

Cardano is just slow and steady. People, in general, are just very impatient. building an empire takes time. the metaverse games like Cornucopias being built on Cardano, the NFT land sales sell out in like record time. instantly. Pavia is pretty good too. give it like 2ish years.
4) In contrast #Cardano and @IOHKMedia understood that once a blockchain's foundation is built it is VERY VERY difficult to change.
This is why they developed the Hardfork Combinator, to be able to make upgrades to the chain to fit future needs faster than others!
100% agreed. Our industry needs to move away from centralized actors and custodians. The future is in decentralized platforms like #Cardano and others with dapps like the DEX we're building. Decentralized, permissionless, secure, low fees, and easy to use.

1/ LOL... @Indigo_protocol protocol is so optimised that they don't even take 1kb per transaction.
This is wild considering that 1kb are... simple transactions. I suspect this is Plutarch by @Las________ and Vasil combined.
#cardano is just building pressure everyday and its gonna explode past everything. They took their time did things right and were seeing the fruits of that labor everyday.
