Turned a theoretical subject like Economics into an engaging gamified learning and quizzes.
The good thing about joining @StoaHQ is that you get used to learning something every day. Did not receive prompts today because of the Diwali break and something feels very empty.
TIL @StoaHQ work sessions go on till beyond 3 AM sometimes. Good company though, so I'm not complaining 🤗

I frequently get a lot of DMs about what I learn at Stoa School, why I took it up, and what happens on the inside?
Today, I have decided to write a bit about it. Apart from building a tremendous cohort-based general management course, promising excellent and exciting career opportunities to pursue, folks at stoa school also take a lot of time to curate well-structured courses relevant to the current and trending business world.
Each month divides into two weeks of learning concepts where we have industry veterans come and take classes, and most of it is how they built something from 0-1, and it is exciting how they take something non-existent and bring it to life. These weekends are followed by a case competition weekend where a challenge is presented and teams have to develop scalable and logical solutions within 24 hours.
This week's case competition was on Uber's business model, which ties back to the concepts we learned in operations and strategy classes. We were told this case was prepared for a course at IIM C. The case runs for several weeks wherein students work on some tool to forecast supply and demand-side numbers weekly. The problem statements were slightly modified while retaining the same crux, for us to work over just the weekend!
After an exhilarating session and outstanding teamwork for a nonstop 24hours+, we emerged third and are winning some exciting cash prizes as well.
When I chose Stoa, my primary objective was to maximize the learning and find stellar peers to interact with. At this stage, I am not sure even if getting into any good b-school full time would have promised me this level of exposure and experience. It has been an exciting four months, and sad we only have two more months before the curtain call!
My amazing team at 1.00 AM trying to get around that business model, which made little to no sense when we started but managed to bring it home!
I am honestly super proud of the instinctive choice I made four months back to enhance my learnings with Stoa! Sometimes taking the unconventional route has the best outcome!

3 sessions and few hours later, I might be creating a support group on discord for getting stronger at data analytics but one thing I am agreeing upon, this is a lifeskill, @StoaHQ made sure of that.
In the end, it was fun. Thanks to @StoaHQ, now I have the confidence to go through the financial statements, make business strategies, support them with data and estimate valuation for companies.
