More than the things I've learned at @yourNextLeap, I value the habit of learning which I have developed.
This is the best money I've ever spent. 💙
Day 30/30 Days of Product
Gratitude Post for NextLeap's 30 days of product management with the NextLeap community, mentors, and fellows.
A HUGE SHOUT out to NextLeap for this impeccable Associate Product Manager Fellowship program. I can look back and can see a massive difference in my approach, converge and structure my thought process, and gain more clarity on what goes around PM. I learned to become more comfortable in the unknowns and challenge the status quo. And most importantly, adorn the human-centered mindset and Design Thinking learnings, which I am sure to follow in every solution I design for a product/business.
I can speak very highly of the guidance been extended throughout to adopt the learnings of PM, to see the PM universe through the lens of tech, business, and design. Got to wear the hat of a UX researcher, UX designer, system designer, and product manager in working alongside the graduation project as part of the fellowship in the last 4 weeks. Couldn't stress enough about the trinity of Tech+Business+Design reiterated in every session and steering us in the direction. I am taking heaps of knowledge, confidence, memories, and most importantly, the skills which I can put to good use, as a matter of fact, in any professional realm.
Cheers to WHAT A MONTH of a LEARNING!!

Unlike traditional theory courses, it felt more like a DIY kit for product managers. Where you read the instructions, then DIY, and then you learn from your mistakes and iterate again.

Day 30.
Today marks the end of one of the most enriching, productive, and fun 30 days spent at NextLeap.
Reading, attending sessions, applying the learnings on the grad projects, learning no-code, participating in case breakdown sessions, and posting learnings here on LinkedIn was one heck of a task. But to be honest, it was so much fun. I had been reading books and resources on PMing alone for quite some time now, but the learnings here at NextLeap in the past 30 days outweigh all of those readings combined.
Although I am taking a lot more knowledge with me than what I started with, I am most thankful for the wonderful network built through this cohort. Thank you to the entire team for building such an amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend to everyone in my network.
Onwards & Upwards!

NextLeap in one line - “Product management democratized”
My journey from 0 to 1 in product management with NextLeap.
Thiel's law: A start-up messed up at its foundation cannot be fixed.
Similarly, a bad foundation of concepts & learnings of an individual could land up him/her in trouble. The probability of success is high when your foundation is strong.
With my 1 month of journey with NextLeap, I can vouch that it is the best platform to start your product management journey. They not only provide assimilated world-class study material from all around the world but also ensure the practical applicability of each and every concept. At every point in time during the course, a competitive aura was created to help everyone complete the course well.
One of the best parts about NextLeap is that the live lectures are taken by the PM industry stalwarts (who have already created world-class products & are well known in the industry for their knowledge) in a manner that even an 8th-grade student would understand the so-called complex technical stuff.
Learning is useless until it can be utilized to generate value for us.
So, NextLeap ensured that every student must work on a live project of real companies & that project was used as a foundation to offer job interviews from prestigious companies for product management interviews.
I am thankful for Arindam Mukherjee, Yasir Mohammad, Karthi Subbaraman, Madhuri, learning circle mentor & Team NextLeap for creating such a great opportunity for students like us.

A month of writing every day has taught me a lot. Habits are not built in a day. They take a conscious effort from our side to fully come into effect. I feel that learning is a habit and I have only strengthened that habit in the past month.
A product manager requires a lot of skillsets. They need to be able to predict both short-term and long-term scenarios in their respective jobs. They need to keep a track of business goals and align them with the products they are shipping. They also need to update their already shipped products to keep with what the market demands.
I had written previously of focusing more on metrics and no metric is more important than the retention rate. At the same time, new users need to be acquired also. One can not just simply focus on only one set of users and neglect the rest. A balance has to be maintained and that is a crucial job of a product manager.
I can feel an improvement in my communication skills (incidentally also a very important trait for a good product manager) with all the writing I have done in the past month. True learning only happens when we can collect our thoughts and write them down for someone else to provide their views on. Thanks, NextLeap for providing me an opportunity to learn. I had great fun.

The biggest takeaway I have had from the whole programme is to always be curious about everything and to always nurture a growth mindset.
I have learnt the importance of building a habit. Since your habits become you, the habits, whether good or bad, that you choose to follow ultimately will set the tone for your entire life. This was my first experience learning the cohort way and i fell in love with it
Community: This was my first cohort-based course, and I loved every part of it. I never knew learning with a community could be this impactful. Having small study groups and focused learning sessions helps in concreting the concepts learned.
Day 30/30 NextLeap
Woah! Time goes so fast. I guess this is what happens when you start learning something new (in a group). It goes slow when you have to study alone, xD.
In the last 30 days, I have, without fail, written a post on LinkedIn. That's no small feat.
Here is what I think has improved in me during the last 30 days,
- I have started to think in a structured manner.
- I have started to think more like a Product Manager.
- I have fallen in love with bullet points.
- I have started to write again! (This is a personal achievement for me)
- I have started building a network of very smart people who can push me to grow both personally and professionally.
Thank you Team NextLeap. A more elaborate post coming soon for you guys! 🤗
I won't be writing numbered posts for some time, but I will write about what I learn, for sure! 💯
